In order to compete with the well designed, efficient and safe Airbus A320Neo, Boeing together with the FAA that practically grandfathered in their approval on anything Boeing conspired to cut some major corners in regards to airframe and aircraft safety to get their Boeing 737 MAX 7, 8 and 9 out as fast as possible.
They were woefully behind on designing something that could even compete with the Airbus A320Neo in any stretch of the imagination and knew it, hence, afraid of their market shares, they rushed to find an awnser and rushed this Max series onto the market regardless of the untested airframes additions.
They quickly added a bigger and heavier engine to the 737, this posed a huge problem, but they wanted to compete with Airbus so, safety was thrown to the wind and they bolted it on regardless.
They found out it would only work with repositioning the big heavy engines not designed for this airframe severly forward on the wing, posing a danger to operation of the aircraft, but hey, Boeing wanted to secure its market share, safety was not their first or second concern here.
Now the nose tended to want to tilt up because of the outlandisly ridiculous forward placement of these bigger heavier engines not designed for the aircraft and the wings itself couldn't support it.
So, the wings got a quick fix addition, sold to us as "a new tech energy saving solution",...cough bollox cough, and they just continued on with their highly irresponsible shenanigans at Boeing aided in doing so by the FAA.
Now they knew something was badly wrong with it and just secretly without telling even the pilots that had to operate the Boeing 737 Max, software was updated twice to try and compensate for the aircrafts dangerous flight characteristics.
Two major crashes with deadly results in 5 months and still Boeing together with its co-conspirator the FAA pretended "all was quiet on the western front" nothing to see here, move along.
Even the USA pretended nothing was wrong and they took Boeing and the FAA's word for it,....we were told to do the same.
The US was the last country to ground the dangerous aircraft of Boeing.
Now we are to believe that it needs a few minor tweaks, while the whole aircraft should actually be redesigned from the ground up, not to mention the last minor tweaks cost lives, and all's well again,....cough bollox cough.
No more Boeing or FAA certified aircraft for me,...I'll only fly Airbus and EU certified airframes from now on.
