Yes, Her Majesty Queen Wihelmina van Oranje-Nassau didn't like her cousin the German Keizer but neither did his English relatives and his cousin the Russian Tsar. She gave him a place to stay after the defeat of the German Empire in WW1, but complained that he chopped down very ancient and ornamental tree's on the estate "chopping wood was his hobby" for some reason, we suspect because of over compensating for his one shorter arm . She didn't visit him, neither did he get invited at Royal occasions, not for the lack of trying on his part mind you. She took offence (rightfully so) that he referd to his own son as "the Prince of Orange" a title the German Keizer or any of his family had any claim to in any stretch of the imagination, because only the Oranje-Nassau our Dutch Royal House can claim that title and it's the title for our Dutch Crown Prince always has been, it's very similar to the Prince of Wales title in the UK or the Prince of Austuria title in the Kingdom of Spain. We suspect he had designs on his cousin's Land and title because he knew he lost his, faking a pretender to that very crucial title the Prince of Orange would have made a path to the Dutch Crown . Funny enough the current pretender to the German Empire's crown has had a warning (including a legal one) because he too tryed to use this Royal title that isn't his to bear as one of his former titles. Lesson is, never give a German Royal sanctuary because he'll try and steal your title's and land 😉.

PaulMag Yes we are, what's your point. (6ft+ as an average for man, 5,11ft as an average for woman). Second place are the Danish. Third are the Germans.

Yep, although we Dutch were neutral in the fist world war we indeed deliverd (the for the time) best fighter aircraft and associated weapon system's to the Germans. We are a brother people of the Germans we are both Germanic people and speak a very similar language and have a very similar culture that was back then more seen as a pro the a con, but in our society there was a split one against us secretly supporting the Germans and a part of us wanted to join the Germans in their fight, a fact not really historically explored by most historians including our own Dutch one's.

The Red Baron, ..Charles de Gaulle, ..Herman Göring, ..Mata Hari, ..Adolf Hitler, ..Winston Churchill, ..etc, etc so i can think of a few names that first turned up in the first world war equally well known as Lawrence of Arabia.

Sidney Lewis (1903-1969) served as a soldier in the battle of the Somme 1916 at the tender age of 12, he enlisted claiming to be 18.He was 13 at the Battle of the Somme, he's now confirmed to be the youngest combatant to serve in WW1, do you have a special on child soldier's in WW1 ?!

So that was what Winston Churchill was looking for at Mussolini's Villa after the war,....the evidence of payment to him in WW1 by England maybe Winston was one of the co signers on that payment.

Although we Dutch did deliver the (at that time) most advanced fighter aircrafts with the capability to shoot past its rotor blades (the Fokker yes the Red Baron flew one too), to the German Empire.

These people always find some way into a Monarchy's halls,....we had our own Rasputin here in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, she was called Greet Hoffman an cultists/ "mystic" with it later turned out links to some international Communist and Republicans. She had convinced our then Monarch Her Majesty Queen Juliana van Oranje-Nassau that she use to be a simple farm girl in a past live and Queen Juliana liked that idea a bit to mutch. That Greet Hoffman woman almost had the Kingdom of the Netherlands fall and turn into a Republic and wanted Communism to rule,....just like with Rasputin she was an agent of chaos . This incident was called De Greet Hoffman affaire (the Greet Hoffmann affair). Thankfully we had His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard von und zu Lippe-Biesterfeld to stop her.⬅Prince consort to the Queen.
