With the Corporate Democrats, of which Amanpour is a fan, you've got a covert autocratic system that has rampant nepotism for the top jobs from within its elites, aka they rule and stay in power ad infinitum.
That elite looks down on what they've skilfully and purposely created, a plebarian class, aka the 99% of the population.
This Amanpour approves off aswell, seeing she grew up in such a system in Persia (modern day Iran), her father being part of an elite that was hated there and had to flee after the shah was ousted from power.
That Persian elite is very reminiscent of the current way the Corporate Democrats operate btw, hence Amanpour's fondness for them.
In exile, first in the UK, she and the rest of the Amanpour clan quickly acquired access to the top of the British class system, very much feeling at home in such a position and system, now in the US this continues, just like her ridiculous attempt at a posh English accent.
The Republican's are just an overt fascist group of people, fully committed to turing the US into a cleptocracy ruled by rightwing oligarch's.
Their bigoted and irrational leader Donald Trump doesn't hide his fondness for fascism and draconian law's, he'll employ both to control and neutralise any and all that oppose him.
Both the before mentioned parties are tyranny of the masses, but in their own way, and they make you chose between them.
We know which side Amanpour is on, and always has been, fully in the Clinton's camp.
There is a third choice, the only real free choice.
Bernie Sanders and the Progressive movement, so if you don't like tyranny, vote Bernie Sanders 2020.
