It's not only building a wall, but motion detectors everywhere, night and heat cameras all over the place, sound equipment everywhere, trimming trees or chopping them down next to the wall, removing other vegetation that inhibits direct sight or is used as a hiding place and of course barbed wire, not to mention the manpower and vehicles (including drones). The US can't pay for that and you can forget that Mexico will, so how's this going to end up ?
