NYC has been handling immigration for over a hundred years. Adams cannot handle it because he is a bad mayor. Where do you think Ellis Island is? Can you imagine Fiorello LaGuardia complaining about immigration?? Adams always has his hair on fire because he doesn't know what he is doing. 🗽🌎🗽

Try a small family grocery for just one day? You might even enjoy the experience and add the small local store to your weekly routine.

So now Abbott puts 350 unscreened individuals into a plane? How unsafe. Makes a joke of all that work TSA does to screen passengers and keep air travel safe. How many federal laws do you think Abbott is breaking with these random charter flights? How are those bus contracts awarded? Any of these charter companies related to friends and family in the Texas state legislature? An audit of Abbott's expenditures of INS processing funds on buses and plane is overdue.

Passing legislation, I'm for it. Why are you against a president who knows how to get things done?

Thank you, thank you, for the interview with UNICEF. 🗽🌍🗽

Because corporations paying their fair share will reduce the deficit,, the deficit that was ballooned by the pumpkin head.

The shooter in Uvalde was not a criminal. This troubled person in Nashville was not a criminal. The young man in Virginia who shot his coworkers in the store, he was not a criminal. They just had easy access to guns because of their state's flimsy gun laws. Comprehensive federal gun safety legislation is overdue.

Rioters were not persecuted, they were charged. Of course, different defendants were charged with different things based on their behaviors. Please remember that entering the capital in any way that day was a violation of law, because it was closed to the public for security reasons to handle the certification of the presidential election. Criminal trespass is a thing. If a law enforcement officer tells you not to enter, but you enter anyway.....that's a problem. Joining a wild mob, that's a problem that puts you and everyone else in danger. Engaging in hand to hand combat with law enforcement officers who told you not to enter..... I just can't anymore.......Use critical thinking in the future. Most people pled guilty to their offenses, so I don't understand the persecution theory. Maybe there is one person who is trying to manipulate Jan 6th to his favor so that he can avoid jail time for his crimes. Hmm.....

Please please CBS any other moderator, no more Brennan. Rude, annoying, I can hardly stand to hear the sound of her voice anymore. No, Brennan, you are not going to bully a former prosecutor like Harris into giving an answer just to make you happy or look tough on TV. She gave her answer clearly. She didn't duck the question, she just gave an answer supporting Roe. 💚💙💚

Who was the president in spring 2020? Anger and hostility is his currency. May the nation never ever treat elections like a game and elect a dangerous grifter again.

Actually the College Board had already made changes to the AP African American history course in Dec 2022 based on feedback from students and teachers in their pilot program. Then DeSantis created a media circus close to the announcement date for those changes; that made it seem like DeSantis had dictated the changes. Because that's what con artists do. Topics actually were not eliminated, there was a shift to a research project so that a number of topics could be covered efficiently. I believe this was because some teachers found it difficult to handle every topic with direct instruction due to time limitations. This often happens with social studies teachers who are tasked with teaching all of USA history, but realistically sometimes run out of time around the Vietnam War. You know, because what if a student asks a question, or a class needs review? These are real life classroom challenges that real teachers understand. (PBS news hour actually has better coverage in this topic because they interviewed the actual college board officials in charge of the beta testing of the course. )

What is disappointing is that Twomey is supposed to be a moderate. The Republicans will probably go the way of the Whigs. Oh well, I won't miss them.

The secret service protects a former president. The challenges of campaigns are very different from protecting the daily life of a former president. Therefore, campaigns provide their own additional security. However, campaign funds are being used for legal fees, so perhaps security is being short changed?

"Netanyahu has been an exceptionally difficult partner. " Yes, yes he has. Btw what is the status of netanyahu's corruption trial? Israelis voted netanyahu out not long ago, but he bounced back as part of a parliamentary coalition. Netanyahu is not Israel. If the Israeli electorate can take their nation back... 🗽

I guess GOP fans think the ability to pass and sign legislation, lots of it, is a sign of dementia. Hmm.... Who was your social studies teacher? 🗽💙🌊💙🌊🗽

As a lawmaker, your primary responsibility is drafting and passing laws. The ability to pass legislation and sign laws does not make you incompetent, it makes you highly competent. Do you understand now? I vote for presidents who pass and sign legislation. I suggest you should too, but you do you. 🗽💙🌊🗽

President Biden's impressive legislative record will be difficult to match! We were lucky to have Joe Biden as our president. I hope President Biden is planning his post presidency, and I hope he left the recipe for his secret sauce on Congressional negotiations and legislative success for the next president of the USA, President Harris. Vote. 🗽🌎💙🌊⚖️💙🌊🌍🗽

I believe Eugene McCarthy had more primary votes, but the Democratic convention in 1968 was an open convention with an ugly floor fight. They decided to nominate Humphrey. Then George Wallace split the party with his own third party. A real mess. That's why it was important in 2024 to avoid an open convention. They are ugly and dysfunctional. Democracy is not chaos. Go Kamala go. Go Tim go. 💙🌊🐬💙🌊

Ms Cordes did a terrific job. Tough interviews, persistent tenacious questioning style, no rudeness or constant interruption. Awesomeness! Can we PLEASE have this every Sunday?! Please!

So glad to hear Afghanistan mentioned. Please remember that women and girls in Afghanistan must not be forgotten by the world. Our Afghan sisters want to continue their education beyond the sixth grade so they can achieve actual careers that can benefit their people. Afghan women are deserving of human rights according to international law and United Nations guidelines. Afghan women want to work so that they can effectively distribute humanitarian aid to their people, and so that their employment can enable their own families to eat. Don't forget our Afghan allies and the women and girls of Afghanistan. 🗽🌎🗽

They banned a book about two penguins in the central park zoo, a true story by the way. Pornography indeed. That's okay, time to vote you all out anyway. 💙🌊💙

In general, people in cities don't greet strangers in the street. Part of that is simple psychology. The brain only wants to process a certain amount of stimulation, and areas with large populations by definition create too much stimulation. The brain starts to focus only on necessary inputs; smiles from strangers don't make the cut. You might be reading too much into his reaction.

OMG maybe I should attend the next reunion! 😎 Definitely started applying NYC knowledge in my first year of college. Really unsafe campus with lots of trees and quaint architecture, not enough locks. Women getting assaulted at fraternity parties, no concern from college deans. Two guys walking behind myself and my hall mate when we were walking to our dorm from the library. I suggest evasive action to choose a wide open well lit avenue instead of the path through the trees. She says, "But we don't want them to think that we're being impolite." What?? Insanity comes in many forms. No cop ever told me it was impolite to use your brains in crime prevention.

@danielleS257 Exactly, few women want to end their pregnancy with a premature "viable fetus", they want to deliver a healthy child. In general, the last weeks of pregnancy are dedicated to fuller development of the brain, nervous system and respiratory systems. High rates of asthma and learning disabilities could well be connected to the lack of attention red states place on healthcare and public education, among other factors. What if women's healthcare was important in all states in this wealthy nation of ours? What if the health of the mother was paramount, not just the life of the mother? What if pro life zealots weren't driving OB Gyn MDs out of their states with their irrational "laws". Vote like your lives depend upon it, because they do. 💚💙🌊💙🌊💚

If she allowed him to ramble on and on , then he can continue his misinformation and she will not have time to fact check. He is trying to run out her clock, knowing that time is very limited on these shows. She must interrupt, and she must fact check, more than she is doing now.

Vote blue 💙 up and down the ballot. Do you trust McCarthy with the House gavel in his hand? The same guy who traveled to Florida to kiss the ring of the pumpkin headed grifter? Vote blue 💙 like your life depends upon it, because it does.

Gov Hogan, given your expertise in real estate, the nation needs to see you working vigorously on fair rental prices to reduce the national scandal of the homelessness explosion. Looking forward to your actions in fairness and responsibility in the real estate industry.

I can't stand the sound of Brennan's voice anymore. She's giving women in broadcast journalism a bad name. She's not "tough", she's just rude.

Vasectomy at point of puberty; vasectomy can be reversed when/if they are ready for marriage or a family. Problem solved. Maybe that will change the tone of the conversation. Responsibility, empathy, give it a try.

Fentanyl control and gun control are two entirely different issues. Using bright shiny objects to distract from the need for gun safety legislation to keep our children alive is shameful and disrespectful. Lack of fentanyl control is mostly about the inability of border control to screen trucks and cargo at points of entry. So they have to work on that. There's technology they are missing or some screening procedure that they need to upscale. Why don't you help them with that? Before the pandemic, NYC was enjoying historically low crime rates. Strict gun control got us there. Gun control works. NYC is not perfect, but our schools do not experience mass shootings. An AR 15 cannot walk up the block into a school; in a gun control environment it would be spotted and called in before reaching the school. Then there's metal detectors at the doors too. Keep the guns out, get it? Fewer guns, not more guns. That's why gun control works. Because certain states want to curry favor with the gun industry, they want open carry and no permits. How do you expect the police to work with that chaos? Everyone is at risk in such an environment, and the "good guy with a gun" who has terrible aim because training isn't even required.... Well, I would not want to be an innocent bystander. Or try gun control, just saying ...

I am really looking forward to a new relationship with Vietnam. I hope we can develop something similar to what we have with Japan. I already try to buy products labeled Made in Vietnam (after I get exhausted looking for products labeled Made in the USA that just are not on the shelf. Kenmore? Sears, what happened to you all? Oops, sorry, drifted off topic there.) After what we did to Vietnam with agent orange, the least we owe them is a trade relationship. Imagine if we had negotiated trade in the late 1950s? Maybe we could have avoided a war.

She actually tried to avoid any political or policy questions, but Brennan was trying to get her to slip up. McCain must be completely apolitical and neutral, because she must raise money from everyone and give food to everyone. I guess Brennan's attempts to derail McCain are her contribution to world hunger? Very frustrating, the most aggravating "journalist" in broadcast today.

Washington State already has a law on AR 15, age 21. Canada eliminated AR15 two years ago. Canada.

It is time to draft a new amendment to enshrine public safety in the Constitution. Children and innocent people should have as many rights as guns. Remember, it is the right of the people to bear arms. The people, the group, the community, the society. Not the right of a person, an individual who wants to own any gun for any purpose. A public safety amendment can rebalance the 2nd amendment, perhaps the most misinterpreted single sentence in the USA, especially since the Heller decision muddied the waters. But even Scalia did state that gun rights are not unlimited. A public safety amendment is overdue. Ratification is not easy, but not impossible. Continuing to do nothing in the face of daily gun violence, that's impossible. 🗽💙🌊💙🌊🗽

Think of who she has to negotiate with these days to raise money and get food into these fundamentally unsafe areas of the world. I'm impressed. Luckily, John is helping, so...

@Jack-eo5fn Awesome! Front line folks who saw the real truth with their own eyes! An authentic expression of gratitude. Thanks for sharing, put a smile on my face. A little flash of PTSD for what NYC suffered in spring 2020, but awesome to share. 🗽
