  1. Nope, none of the above. There are many small high schools in the Bronx producing really wonderful students with tremendous potential, especially because Bronx kids are just amazing anyway. Just living in the neighborhood is a tremendous education. Emotional intelligence, resilience, problem solving, logical thinking with an urban twist, etc. There's a whole slice of educational psychology that proves that urban kids are predisposed to greater intelligence than their suburban counterparts, especially if they can successfully tune out the negative messages that the larger society uses to dismantle their self image. Without a d&c, necrotic tissue remains inside the mother's body, resulting in sepsis, infertility and worse. Pay attention to the lawsuit out of Texas concerning several women who endured such mistreatment. Of course men want access to abortion, for the safety of their wives and the mother of their children. Imagine driving your pregnant wife across state lines in a panic while she is in the middle of a miscarriage, because you know that your state will no longer allow her to be treated appropriately. Please look for it. (I believe early February 2023, maybe late January 2023) DeSantis basically created a shell game around changes the College Board had already made in December 2022. Because that's what NYC needs, more people walking around with guns!!! What are they thinking? What happened to states rights? And spare me the "good guys" with bad aim want to live in their own movie by engaging in gun battles on Broadway or in the subway. Truly horrifying. Has the California law reached SCOTUS yet? Perhaps still hope that ruling can be overturned? One of the worst rulings is Heller, from 2008?, opinion written by Scalia, almost anything I have seen says this was a flawed opinion that departed dramatically from precedent. I hope these cases can be reviewed; maybe some cases from Buffalo or Uvalde can make their way through the courts. Sandy Hook families had a successful civil case, don't know if that could be reviewed further. If Plessy v Ferguson can fall, any case can be reviewed. Be well, be safe. Anyone who tells you gun control laws don't work is probably trying to sell you a gun by augmenting irrational fears and distrust in democracy. Spend your money on better things; don't let gun dealers pick your pocket. Most of the trouble comes from illegal guns flooding in from other states up the turnpike. We are having problems with ghost guns lately because this latest gun company trick is difficult to trace, therefore exactly the kind of product a criminal needs. If gun owners truly are responsible and law abiding, they would not want something like ghost guns out in the world and they should pressure their legislators to eliminate ghost guns. Why isn't NRA fighting ghost guns?

  37. I have no confidence that the current electorate has the civics and history knowledge, plus the critical thinking skills, to elect supreme court justices. Look at what has happened to the GOP House. Luckily, Speaker Jefferies is coming soon to steer the ship to safer harbors. Stop starving public schools and restore civics education. Create an accurate history curriculum for all states. Democracy depends upon an informed citizenry, and I'm not sure we truly have that right now in every state. We probably need to rethink this state to state education system, because some of the gaps in knowledge and skills are alarming.

  38. As a 12 year old, you were probably not living in a world that had millions of AR 15. The AR 15 was tested by the military for Vietnam, then they went with the m 16 instead. It wasn't adapted for the civilian market (huge mistake that its inventor would not have supported, by the way) until the 70s. It was extremely unpopular. Sales did not spike until Vietnam was a memory and the draft is gone, because a nation exhausted by war would not have found military styled anything to be appealing. Then the irresponsible gun industry targets underage males, calling the AR 15 "your man card." Sales spiked, and here we are. That's the difference. No new sales of AR 15, mandated gun safes to store the old AR 15 if you need to keep it, repeal PLCAA to restore liability to gun manufacturers.

She was trying to crawl through the broken window to access the House floor and the lawmakers who were still sheltering there. At the very least, that is called breaking and entering. The purpose of constitutional interpretation is to make a very old constitution flexible enough to respond to the times. Originalist is not the only approach to constitutional law, not even the best one. Please remember this current SCOTUS does not enjoy the support or respect of the public, as opposed to other SCOTUS in USA history. However, the real problem is that the second amendment cannot keep innocent school children alive. Therefore,it has outlived its usefulness to the nation. It's time for a new amendment to enshrine public safety in the constitution. 🗽

I don't understand what people don't understand. But I do understand that the gun industry is making buckets of money from this misery. And wouldn't these irresponsible gun vendors want a contract to sell guns to every school district in the nation? Their disgusting mouths are dripping already. None of these people can feel it when their pockets get picked?? NYC schools are not perfect, but our schools do not experience mass shootings. Because NYC is a strict gun control environment, an AR 15 walking down the block towards a school would be spotted immediately and called in to police.
