  1. Yes, we must strengthen civics across our nation! Probably hard to do when the federal Secretary of the Department of Education is a wrestling promoter, but.... I believe that independent non profits, responsible media, after school programs, churches, local museums and bookstores hosting workshops, those might have to be the venues for civics instruction. This is an "Each one Teach one" moment! Sort of like "school house rock" on steroids, but for all ages and every cultural group. Why did we need to listen to newscasters talking constantly about low propensity voters and low information voters in the last weeks of Harris's campaign? That "demographic" should hardly exist. I thought I heard that the sentencing, the final official step that makes a conviction a conviction, would have immediate consequences, like voting, taking his passport, restrictions on travel, etc. However, we clearly are through the looking glass here, so... I imagine that other countries could deny entry, but will they stand up to the USA, the symbolic role that this pumpkin controls for a few years. Yikes. Are they blocking him, or blocking the USA? Might make a difference? I think the good news is that he can now be considered a repeat offender if the GA election case resumes in 2028, so there's that. Don't remember if NYS has additional cases in the pipeline, there were so many that they worked through year after year: trump University, fraudulent charities, etc. That information should be repeated more frequently because voters seem to have short memories. The investigations didn't begin after he declared himself a candidate. Nope. They were working through the civil cases for years, then revived other cases that had been put on hold during his presidency. We have become too accustomed to allowing this guy to make stuff up.

Can you please do another podcast in this style on economics (not just inflation, and why inflation is not the whole economy). There are so many dangerous gaps in knowledge and learning around critical thinking, accurate history, civics, constitutional law, demagoguery, etc. What if media could teach some topics that all USA voters should have learned in school, but for a variety of reasons, that learning never happened.   17. Judge Chutkin is going to begin a detailed hearing of all the evidence in the Washington DC insurrection/election interference case. This hearing is an answer to the SCOTUS immunity opinion. The judge is going to be evaluating every aspect of the case to see if there are elements that correspond to this SCOTUS definition of official acts vs personal/unofficial acts ( including acts that he took as a candidate, not a president). Very weird tangled mess created by SCOTUS, but the "good" news is that the electorate has an opportunity to hear all the evidence in the case, not a formal trial but a fairly close approximation. I guess this is for supporters who still believe that he did nothing wrong and everything is a hoax. Yes, this is up to the electorate, courts can't really help as much as needed, but this should be a helpful hearing. Voters, you know what to do. 💙🌊⚖️💙🌊

I do believe that anyone who passed high school social studies should have recognized the pumpkin head as a demagogue. In some states, the job will have to fall to media, responsible objectives media that can channel Murrow and Cronkite (not meant as anti feminist, just we weren't in the space in the 50s and 60s, and I believe we need a Walter Cronkite vibe for this task). Non profits and after school programs will probably have to carry the weight.
