  1. Can't help but wonder if a big part of the safety problem in northern Mexico is related to the USA inability to control gun safety, especially due to states with flimsy gun laws. A joint briefing with Mexican officials and USA officials a few months ago highlighted that most of the guns connected to murders in Mexico originated from ten counties in the USA. Our lack of gun safety feeds the iron pipe line across the border too. So now we are destabilizing other nations too? Shame on us. Comprehensive federal gun safety legislation is overdue.
