  1. Abbott declared Texas a gun sanctuary state in June of 2021. So irresponsible. Open carry, no permits, over the objections of Texas law enforcement. Abbott and the GOP dominated legislature needs to be held to account for their irresponsible laws and their lack of mental health services. People are dying. I hope some talented pro bono attorneys are en route to Texas to defend families who might want to pursuit some wrongful death claims. Enough. The second amendment has outlived its usefulness to the nation if it cannot protect innocent people. It's time to draft a new amendment to enshrine public safety in the Constitution. The law serves the people, not the person, not the individual who worships guns and wants an arsenal in their basement. Laws serve the people, the community, the society. Public safety is something we are allowed to want. People are not to be sacrificed to a law that no longer serves them. Accountability please. 🗽
