  1. No that's simply incorrect, dam water storage allows collection during excessive rain periods which can be released in low periods, those rivers would be bone dry today beyond any doubt if they were not dammed, this is not a China specific discussion.

  2.  @LloydsofRochester  Its hardly "just" China are you that brain washed?. China is now the worst, but the 100 years prior to 2010 ish it was the United States along with most other Western countries.
