@jimw7916 To be fair the US is in a unique position of being able to print nearly unlimited amounts of $US without consequences, as its effectively the world reserve currency. Secondly huge amounts of average Americans are also feeling the pain atm, you don't need to go far to confirm that.

@jimw7916 I previously lived in Australia for 6 years so yea I do. House prices are 90% of the problem aka mortgage & rent especially for younger people. Americans are also doing it tough, a the US has massive wealth inequality.

Local mum and dad property investors buying their 2nd and 10th property is the #1 cause of high house prices by a huge margin, not overseas investors. You need to dig a lot deeper than just following what the mainstream media indicates.

Incomes are very low there, so unless you are a digital nomad you must already have significant equity already to do that.

Banks are the #1 customers for the mainstream media. The mainstream media don't want us looking at local property investors as the main cause of high house prices, they would rather blame overseas investors, Santa Clause and physical shortages, but NEVER local property investors.
