My family is big into every stupid-ass conspiracy theory-adjacent idea (mom's side handles the astrology, gnosticism, kabbalah, etc while dad's side handles the 5G, QAnon, Illuminati) and both have a history of schizophrenia so I equate the two almost entirely.

  3. You can make a rough determination of gender in pre-pubescents given their neurology (I wanna say dorsal hypothalamus but I haven't read the literature in a while). The question is whether gender identity is an operationally valid perspective by which one should orient themselves in life. Futher, whether body modification is warranted or necessary to achieve consonance between physical body and mind within a social context. Parents and agents for the care of children who are advocating for these sorts of procedures while having no actual data (scans, psych eval, etc) are probably MBP.

They could have neurological structures that may indicate a tendency towards gendered characteristics, but that needs to be observed with a PET/MRI to be sure and, even then, is the choice of the person, assuming they even develop the rationality to engage with the question in the first place (which, in America at least, is a very tall order)
