  1.  @yardlimit8695  The cost isn't double and the benefit is more than twice the 'doubled' cost. If 1 railway was economical and the cost of building a second was diminished through the efforts of the first (sand,clay, trees, etc) but the benefit was the same, the productivity/railway would be greater. It would pay for itself more than twice as fast.

  7. 7:45 Yo, wtf! As an American, I am envious of countries with reliable and affordable railway/public transport. Where I live, there is 1 bus in the morning, 1 bus at night and the nearest passenger railway is 60 miles away. I have never been on a train.
