  1. Historical point. There were as many Irish of peasant descent, and Roman Catholic faith living n Britain in the 1970s. In fact, there might have been more - considering locations like Liverpool, Coventry, Birmingham, Luton, London, Portsmouth had Irish present since the 1840s. They had grounds for a grievance against the aristocracy. They got on with life. There was a massive conflict in Ulster. None of it ended up in Westminster like this. Nothing close. Except via Northern Irish politicians. No Catholic clergy went around organizing mass protests about Ulster which is far closer on the map than Gaza. Though they would organize protests about abortion ( regardless of the affiliation of the mother). Ironically in agreement with Presbyterian clergy.... The Irish in the unions backed the priorities in Labour of the day...pay, conditions, industrial policy, public investment, schools, hospitals and so on. The present shambles is unprecedented, unjustified, and barbaric. Not all religions are the same. The current alliance of convenience between the cults of Trotsky and the nabatean warlord has produced disaster, dysfunctionality and destruction. Both are intolerant and dishonest.

  4. The FFGP regime in Dublin are desperate to create an even more repressive police state than that in any other English speaking country. The competition for that is intense. NZ & Canada are very eager to be number one in thought repression.
