  1. The average US politician is not a lunatic. A lot of them are useless. Many of them are corrupt. AOC is bordering on lunacy. Now... Please ask the same question about the current Kremlin leadership. It is increasingly clear that they are paranoid. Putin is paranoid. He will make enemies if he cannot find them. It is not good for Russia.

  3. To give Gorbachev credit he got out of those countries. However we in the West failed yo help him afterwards. We had no George Marshal or General Douglas McArthur to help Russia to revitalise it's society. There was no reconstruction, only pillaging by CPSU insiders, gangsters and security system hard men. We did not create a Japan, we allowed the creation of a kleptocracy that robbed the Russian people, and then told them to hate us.

  5. Another leader in the Kremlin is gripped by paranoia. Stalin murdered millions because of paranoia. Ivan the Terrible butchered his own soldiers and family members. Peter the Great even went paranoid in the end. Lenin was paranoid all his life. Yuri Andropov had a paranoid spell that could have resulted in an all out war, and it was driven by nothing except his own mind. Medvedev also seems extremely tetchy and going in the same direction.

  6. It was none of his business to be there in the first place. There is no such thing as an acceptable manner to have an invasion of another country. Whether it is Iraq, Libya or Ukraine. Stay out of it. None of your business.
