  1. The PRC will use Afghanistan, the same way that it uses Pakistan. A bunch of silly, superstitious fools in charge of a poor impoverished populace who are desperate for help from somebody - even an atheist, Communist regime in Beijing. Pakistan is stuck for friends, and is afraid that the Taliban might invade Pakistan and start a civil war. Russia - not sure of it's objective, except maybe influence. That is a stupid objective. At least Beijing knows what it wants ( the minerals, customers and the BRI route to the wealthy Middle East).
