  1. Going to MIT was a good decision. Becomming a neurosurgeon was a good decision. Many workplaces are toxic and control obsessed. Therefore you needed to reclaim your own personality. Therefore taking a break was a good decision. You might return to your specialism, and do great work.... as long as the workplace is positive and supportive.
