  2. This is turning into an enormous catastrophe. It is up there with the French King getting into the Silesian War, on the side that would cost them the most to support, and give the least in response for the intervention. And then 14 years later the same French King would have to go on the other side to undo the damage, and end up losing the central part of the USA & Canada. What exactly is the strategy of the USA??? From what I can see it is of no use to the USA anymore. It is inherently dysfunctional. It is terrible.

  3. Actually, on all these scenarios some low level employees somewhere. The French were suspicious in advance fir Tet. The Polish and Czech dissidents told them there were internal issues in the East Bloc. German intelligence told them that some of the 9-11 attackers needed monitoring. But in each case somebody in authority refused to take the warnings seriously.
