  3. President Trump and his advisors are correct. The regime ruling Iran are in trouble. They get large scale protests on the Iranian streets at increasing intervals. They have squandered their available resources on conflict in the region. The regime does not know what it is "for", but it knows that it is against anybody that does not agree with their belief system. The leader in this endless military interference, is General QS. And the regime has one trump card left (pun fully intended) - Iraq. It is logical that the regime in Tehran would want to cause as much trouble as possible in Iraq, and achieve a justification for the policy that is infuriating the Iranian population. Trump is correct, because Iran is not fit to fight an offensive war. But Iran was trying to take over Iraq, in any case. Therefore from the US perspective, something had to happen, to close down Iranian interference. An Iranian takeover of Iraq, will not happen now. The attack sends a message to dissenting voices within Iran - it says we are watching the regime, and their repression of the population. The left, as usual, has made asses of themselves.
