I was in Paris a few months before hand.....one evening I went to Ile de last Cite to visit Notre Dame...and half of Ile de last Cite was closed off because a terrorist attacked a police woman with a knife....there was no media coverage in the news....nothing....... There was a large group of Chinese tourists trying to get to Notre Dame, who spoke no French, and very little English....after finding out what happened from the policeman at the barrier....I communicated with them in English. They were extremely disappointed as was I and many others. The Cathedral of Notre Dame was regularly attacked before the fire. People knew that.
