  2. Erdogan has Sweden over a barrel. If he kicks the barrel he will then have the EU in a serious embarrassment. Turkey's banks owe a vast amount of Euros.... A weak EU means more ECB currency printing which effectively deflates those debts in real terms. In other words it is in the interest of Erdogan to completely pole axe the ECB's funny money. A political crisis in Sweden, combined with Swedish currency mismanagement and dodgy banks drives down the SEK, which will get a back door bailout from the ECB. The solution to every problem in the EU currently amounts to more currency production. The German Greens are far more committed in propping up the power of Brussels, than German savings. We are about to see a binge of currency production by the ECB, and aligned central banks. The more Euro currency produced, the better for the Turkish banking system. Erdogan needs to cause a crisis in Sweden to bail himself out.
