  4. Democracy in Western Europe. Ireland - run by people who broke the law, who are never prosecuted by the police or investigated by the media. Both sides of the border. Britain - a circus. Only Lizzie is up to the job, and she is running out of time. France - cohabitation. Spain - the left, plus loose ends on the left. Chaos. Italy - a government that the public never endorsed. Belgium - better off when there is no government at national level. Holland - a phony Conservative in charge of a coalition of chaos. Lots of posturing. Similar in ways to Ireland. Germany - the tail is wagging the dog. And so on....
