A bunch of people who - cannot speak English properly, define themselves by their "Britishness" - cannot keep the Presbyterian abstinence on alcohol but who get drunk define themselves as their hardline Protestantism - eat cheap, unhealthy takeaways for family days - play loud martial music in the presence of children. There is too much irony in all of this. No wonder your neighbours think that it is absurd.

The car parks in Dublin Airport are filled with Northern reg cars in the first two weeks of July. Every year.

Exactly. They are more likely to read The Daily Mail than anything by CS Lewis ( who was from Belfast - they probably never heard of him ).

They would know if they read the KJ Bible, Pilgrim's Progess, or the writings of Luther......but the Daily Mail is shorter, and uses a simpler vocabulary, so they stick to that instead.

I was afraid of being called an Appleman, so I bought a Samsung instead.....

And Presbyterianism ( the largest section of Ulster Protestantism ) advocates abstinence from consumption of alcohol....they are ignoring something when it suits them....religion.

Which Sinn Fein ? There are at least three Sinn Feins. Plus factions that drifted into other parties.

Dublin Airport in the second week of July is always filled with Northern nationalists on their way to Southern Europe, to get REAL CULTURE, and to leave the lazy, noisy, rubbish strewn, ugly "celebration" of silliness in NI, in the rear window.

Correct. The Boer War was about Gold. Enough gold to keep Sterling ahead of the USD, Mark, Rouble as the international currency for trading. It was the Neo con adventure of it's era.

Find an Ulster Protestant that has read the Bible, outside of the clergy ( who are instructed to read it). Even one. Or even the New Testament. ( for some strange reason, they seem to know less about The New Testament than The Old Testament ). The people in that video come across Daily Mail readers. They have not read one serious text in anything in their lives. The Beano does not count. How exactly is what their are doing "culture" if it has a miniscule intellectual foundation ? How many of them have seen the locations in Germany associated with Luther, or in Switzerland associated with Calvin ? They are more Calvin Klein than Jean Calvin.

The only place I know that is officially named as Mainland is in Vancouver......

Does Sweden ( a Protestant country ) need a day with military bands marching around, to celebrate it's 'Protestant Culture' ?

A more apt word might be "representative"....
