  18. The Chinese state has it's own problems - state owned enterprises holding large amounts of debt, corruption, gambling, real state over investment etc..... Hardly imperial raw material like the Spanish in 1500, with their internally aligned polity and sister regimes plus the galleons and Tercio formations, or like the British in 1800 with the formidable purpose, trading networks, Royal Navy and Red Coat regiments. The weaknesses of the US are mostly politically derived. Neither Spain nor Britain had that in their decline period. That should worry Americans.

  21. The Ukraine is heading in the direction of becomming another Bosnia. The current parliament in Kiev contains extremely nasty elements who wish to murder Russians for being Russian. Of course the Russian military will respond. The smarter option would be to push for dialogue on this.
