On top of the LIES they used to justify the war. Assuming your numbers are correct then 400 or 1600 isn't even a drop in the bucket. But go ahead and keep acting like both political parties are exactly the same.. The truth is almost 400k civilians died because Republicans lied.

  9. Sam Harris is wrong about BLM but I think he made some good points during that debate that Ezra dodged. Specifically about how easy and uncontroversial it is to talk about how Europeans almost exclusively have Neatherthal DNA in their genetic code and how that same discussion would be almost impossible in the current political climate if they found it exclusively in African DNA. The scientists wouldn't even dare publish it. Which is sad.

  16.  @johnedwards1968  Sam's argument isn't that political correctness has run amuck in society as a whole he specifically is critical about how it's gone too far on the Left in some situations. He aligns his own political identity as being on the Left so this is a valid frustration for him and others. It's true that it was merely a thought experiment and sometimes Sam has gotten caught up in trying to be too anti-policially correct so instead lets look at whats happening to me here in this thread. I start my statement with saying that Sam was wrong about BLM and then went on to my example of Ezra dodging Sam's point. About 20mins later I'm being told "You clearly do not understand the fundamental flaw with Sam Harris. Go away until you do." which is a complete non-arugment and its just an attack. I don't care at all but this serves to prove Sam right in his criticism of the pervasive cancel culture of the Left. Btw, you don't think what we did to Al Franken was too far? We lost a Senator because of a stupid picture he took a long time ago all the while the Right protects their people no matter what they do. Principle is great until you don't have the votes to pass the legislation that is going to matter to normal people.

Trump made record military arms deals with the Saudi's so if you care about Yemen you should care that Trump was arming Saudi Arabia. Obama inherited two wars from the Republicans and whoever comes after Biden will be the first President in decades to not inherit a war because Biden a Democrat pulled us out of Afghanistan at great political cost to himself. Something Trump was too chicken to do.

  24.  @BenedictMHolland  You're right. People who can't afford a dentist likely don't have 50k in debt for anything. That just makes it all the more bitter. It would be better to start including student loan debt in bankruptcies and make college more accessible for everyone instead of just forgiving debt this one time for people who mostly will just redirect that monthly payment to a new debt like a new car or some other expenses.. Real poor people out there feel completely left out of this whole process and it doesn't help grow the tent. It's a poison pill

You need to actually take a few moments and learn what the deal was comprised of and how quickly the Taliban broke their end of the agreement. Also, when you learn what was "supposed" to happen when Trump was still in charge and what never happened when Trump was still in charge then you can start understanding what really happened in Afghanistan and why the government we propped up fell so fast. This was strike two for you bud.. One more bad faith disingenuous argument from you and you're out.

But most people didn't care and most people don't consider his comedy attacks against any particular group over another OR they are getting fed up with the sensitivity and constant outrage from the T community. I don't know which but whatever it is people still support Chappelle so they will continually put him back into the headlines feigning outrage against Chappelle until they get the result they believe is deserved.
