You act like we've had months to prepare for an evacuation of the entire population of Kabul. No one thought 10,000's or more people would suddenly try to escape within the last week or so. No one.

They don't just send random people to nursing homes when they get sick. These were RESIDENTS of the nursing homes that were sent back from the hospital. What are they supposed to do with RESIDENTS of nursing homes after they are discharged from the hospital? This is WHERE THEY LIVE... What are they supposed to do with these people AFTER they are discharged from the hospitals? And one or two hospital boats doesn't have the room and 2nd they are equipped to be HOSPITALS not nursing homes... Be logical and think, where are nursing home residents supposed to go after they are discharged from the hospital???

If you even thought that was going to happen they wouldn't have armed them. How do you plan for 10,000 people to evacuate when the day before they weren't interested in leaving? You aren't being realistic.

Sometimes things happen that you don't plan for. Why would they plan for the Afghan President to flee and hand the country over to the Taliban? This is a dumb conversation. You are talking about making an airbridge in may or june to evacuate people who at that time did not want to evacuate. You see the problem with your logic here?

The American people don't want this war to continue and IF Biden fell for that trap (which Trump set) by ramping up US troop numbers and restarting the war then they would be attacking him right now for not leaving and instead getting us into the 3rd decade of this war. He has no choice. Even if evacuations started months ago the moment the population and the media caught wind that we are abandoning Afghanistan to the Taliban then chaos would ensue. This is part of the reason why the Afghan government was telling the US not to do that even just a couple weeks ago. Should the US have disregarded the Afghan governments requests? Be reasonable. This was inevitable.

Anyone who didnt absolutely NEED to be hospitalized was sent away to make room for those that needed a hospital bed. That is just a fact. They couldn't just let them stay in the hospital forever - if people could just stay in the hospitals forever then we would be living in a cartoon not in reality. Again, until you can come up with a viable alternative where to send residents of nursing homes after being discharged from a hospital then you have nothing. You are just complaining to complain.
