When I was a kid I walked to school. About 4 miles away for my HS and only 1 mile from my middle school. I figured why no kid walks to school anymore is because everyone is scared their kids will get kidnapped or if they did get kidnapped for walking to school the parents would be blamed by people who don't understand what its like when both parents work full time.
