I had Ulnar nerve transposition surgery on my right arm and everything in this video is pretty much how I experienced it. It started one day after a long phone call where I was propping my head up with my arm with my elbow on the table. After I was finished with the call I stoop up and that's when I first noticed my hand was tingly but I didn't think too much about it. The next day I woke up and my hand was still tingly and that's when I realized I had a problem. After a few weeks my pinky was almost completely numb and I was losing function in my hand and after a few months I started developing muscle atrophy. That is when I finally got the surgery and I haven't had any problems since then and bonus now when I bump my elbow it doesn't hurt since the nerve has been moved. After the surgery the Doc told me when he cut me open the nerve was badly scarred and the nerve groove was abnormally shallow.
