  25. the problem with this analysis is the assumption that war with Russia could equal WW3. Russia stands alone and they can't even conquer Ukraine let alone fight a war against NATO. We can't let them use nuclear threats to regain the territory they lost at the end of the Cold War. It's almost criminal that we would allow this.

  28.  @Madame702  Yes, part of the reason for their economic turmoil is by our design, as we and other countries impose sanctions on Iran in the hope that it might eventually lead to organic change within the country. The objective behind the pressure is to encourage change. Releasing frozen funds can undermine our own efforts in this regard.

It seems, in part, due to the strong support for Israel, driven by certain religious interests. From my point of view, it might make more sense to be closer to Iran and reassess our ties with Israel. However, you didn't address my earlier points in your response, so I'm not sure if I'll get a proper reply this time either. I think it was a mistake creating the nation of Israel when that area was already occupied by Palenstinians. That is hardly a right-wing view to hold.
