  17.  @wendyarbes9514  I love this thread because people just keep bringing up the same point and then I get to repeat myself: Walkable neighbourhood = still use your car as much as and in any way you want to, but with less traffic AND less distance needed to travel. You also have the FREEDOM to choose to not use your car, if you are 1. able (disabled and the elderly need access to vehicles both personal and public, as you know), 2. wanting to do that. Non-walkable = You have NO FREEDOM of choice, literally everyone must use a car for even the most basic of things, terrible traffic, much greater distances between necessities. If you lose the ability to drive (cataracts, injury, age) you will be stranded and need to rely on the generosity of a caretaker to drive you everywhere and haul your large shopping trips. You will not be able to live unassisted for an entire period of your life that you would otherwise be able to care for yourself in a pedestrian-focussed rather than car-focussed area. One is just so clearly superior but seems some people just cannot fathom that walkable does not and never has anywhere at any time meant not-car-able.

Saying "your likelihood of rolling a double six increases with each roll" is technically correct as it can mean 'the more rolls you add to the sample, the higher the probability that a double six roll exists'. It can also be interpreted as 'your chances of rolling a double six on any given roll literally increase as more rolls are made' which yeah is incorrect but the wording can mean both. The latter is actually a form of gamblers fallacy / hothand fallacy and i see it every day because I work at a massive casino. This same argument is had again and again on world of warcraft forums where people who farm rare drops from bosses say things like "i've been making this roll once a week for five years and i still havent got the loot" and a million people commenting "yeah u idi0t because thats n0t h0w pr0bability w0rks" when in fact it is how combinatorial probability works. you ARE more likely to roll a double six if you roll twice, and then even more likely to if you roll three times and so on.

Hello Jiri Broz :) you have some misinformation on this subject, i would recommend using google scholar as it is a very good way to get reliable sources of information from the web. asexuality does not actually mean that someone cannot have sex or is infertile. asexuality actually just means that a person does not feel sexual attraction to other people :) an asexual person can enter a romantic relationship and can still actually enjoy the physical sensation of sex. Asexual people can also become pregnant or impregnate others and more specifically they can want to have and raise children just as many people do! an asexual person is no different from anyone else other than that they do not feel sexual attraction to people. they can still fall in love the same way :) if you met an asexual couple, you would probably never ever even know that they were asexual unless they told you ^ . ^ I know this is confusing but once again there are many excellent and informative papers and websites online to help with understanding asexuality.

I think alligators are only in north america, 2. i never saw a single scorpion in my entire life in singapore and malaysia, i think they are mostly in deserts 3. the only spiders ive ever seen on the equator in S.E.A are TEENY 4. the problems with bugs is nothing from spiders or scorpions - its from mosquitos and cockroachs. mosquitos that carry extremely deadly diseases and are everywhere - and the roaches are huge (MASSIVE!) and flying. There are more snakes and spiders and scorpions where I live now in australia and I am still way more scared of the European and north american wildlife! mountain lions, giant moose and elk, wolves, *BEARS*! Maybe it was meant to be a campfire, but it burnt down the whole forest - there’s a good chance you didn’t mean to burn down the whole forest, but to anyone watching you pile lumber on and poke that fire it becomes less obvious so that the people that like you see you stoking a campfire and others see you deliberately build an out of control bonfire, run away, come back when it’s burning the whole forest down and throw one bucket of water on the flames and then retreat. Satanism is a non-theistic religion, which means that they do not worship a being or beings like in many other religions, in fact there isn't a whole lot of "worship" going on in The Satanic Temple (TST), they do a lot more activism. As for their belief system it is actually more of a moral code rather than any interpretation of a divine beings orders. There are seven tenets to TST and I think you'd find a lot are remarkably similar to Jesus's teachings (compassion, empathy, critical thinking, self-awareness).

For me personally I became really interested in Satanism but couldn't look past LaVey being a bit hypocritical in calling theistic people crazy but also believing in magic. I felt so disappointed because I really loved the basis for activist satanism supporting separation of church and state with a pro-science anti-theism vessel, but then looking in to the church of satan I felt it was hyper-capitalist and lacking in my personal number 1 beliefs which are compassion and logic. Finding TST was then like the best thing ever and I view them as quite different. Someone really convinced you during a global pandemic that PPE and medicine are bad. My hope for you is that you're old - because if you are young, you will indeed have to live through what climate change irreversibly does to our world and what it does to humans, especially the poorest. You will have to stay in denial somehow through it all or one day have to suffer the slow process of looking around at the food shortages, masses of refugees, increasingly extreme weather, the irreversible destruction of thousands and thousands of species - and realising you were fooled by some a**holes and that you yourself helped it all happen just a little by hopelessly falling for big corporation and elite-rich interests. I dread that day for you sir, genuinely, it will be heart-wrenching. I just hope that in that moment you use that regret as a force for good and really take it to heart. Until then, you'll have some blandly repetitive, vaguely trolly response to this - but know I'm not sitting here smug, I feel for you only sadness and pity.

Lastly, your question reads as though it is asked in bad-faith, but I will answer to humour you, I believe in democracy. I do NOT believe things like gerrymandering, using public media control to slander the opposition, and punishing opposition voters are in any way democratic though. Do you believe those things belong as part of a fair democracy?
