  1. In my opinion, there is no doubt that eventually, China will succeed in chip manufacturing and be very competitive or even more advanced than Intel, AMD, Nvidia, TSMC, etc... And IMO it will take less time than most people think. US universities should graduate far more engineers than lawyers every year, to begin with. And the US must attract the best talent from around the world to stay competitive in 10 years.

  3. I believe this discussion was in May 2023. So, probably today in September OpenAI has already started to train GPT-5. I think it's quite possible. Because of the competition from Google Gemini, Inflection AI, Anthropic, X AI. Did I miss something?
