The "Jealousy" vs "envy" that you describe are actually called "benign envy" and "malicious envy" in academic literature.
Otherwise, envy and jealously are used differently seemingly by area, and have been used differently depending on the time period.
EDIT; And as an additional note, I'd say there's a third type too. I was emotionally abused as a child and teen, And when I see other people being affectionate and happy with their families, I experience extreme pain. That doesn't mean I want them to lose their families or anything, But it does cause me a lot of pain and yet there is no potential for resolution (improvement). This gives rise to despair, especially if you fail to create a new family in friends, like i failed to.
One might name this a different term than envy, but really theres no sense in that, because the only thing that differs compared to benign envy is the potential for resolution.

2:38 I really hope you read this comment. I should in short tell you that especially in shithole countries, "recycling" consists of shipping the crap to India, China and most often burning it down or dumping into the sea,etc.
To be precise, before the ban, only 9% of all the plastic shipped was recycled. The rest (91%!!) was dumped on landfills or thrown into natural waters (79%) or burned (12%).
But to be precise, 95% of all "recyclables" collected in the European Union and 70% from the USA were just shipped to China to be burned or dumped on landfills, in oceans, rivers, in 91% of the cases.
I'm a biology student, focus ecology & genomics, and trust me the only way to really personally help the environment w plastic pollution is to AVOID buying disposable plastics (includes microbeads in cosmetics, bags, blabla) as much as possible. And it makes for a BIG impact.
Especially imagine every person cutting down on disposable plastics.
If in any case it does end up getting "recycled", it just gets downcycled, with big energy losses and sometimes pollution from fuel for the recYcling plant, and then again ends up on a landfill ( eventually in seas, lakes, rivers...).
The ban on imports of western recyclable trash has lead to a further increase in plastic burning and landfill chucking, as the countries in southeast asia that initially tpok over China's, India's role of fumping ground were quickly overwhelmed withthe amounts of trash.
You cannot help the environment by feeding the demand for disposable plastic, any possible way you put it.
Its produced from oil and it's eternal waste that has destroyed ecosystems, and is continuing to do so.
The overconsumption creates a market for plastic trash, where it becomes a business to feed the pollution maximally, so that it can then get "recycled". That is why more and more products are overpackaged in plastic.
But it isnt recycled. It is mostly a big fat dangerous lie.
Behind the promise of recycling lies a dark secret.
It's Deception
Sure, "recycling" is probably statistically better than landfill, but the actual solution is avoid as much as possible, and "recycle" WHAT YOU CANT AVOID.
Please read more into this topic. I can send study resources if you ever want to
I noticed you mentioned recycling in one of your vids w Bald, so, it was on me to spread some awareness.
EDIT; here is a video on bottled water if you want to watch;

it is very informative

im from ex Yugoslavia. Im a progressive socialist, and I want to share my POV.
My country never engaged in the colonisation of the territories of other "races". We didnt do colonialism beyond our immediate neighbours, who are very similar to us.
So i just feel really weird when some anglophone person points their finger at me and labels me "white" and wants to cram me into this construct with them and separate from e.g. a "black" person. This just feels alien to me, and like cultural imperialism by colonial cultures. It feels like western hegemony being forced into my face.
I dont use the term white for myself. i dont use it for the various peoples of europe and nearby. I only use the biological term "west eurasian", and then just label people by their place of origin. I can distinguish an italian from a swede, or russian, easily, they arent one big "white" blob in my head.
Our area is extremely racist to Roma people. This is where constructs akin to whiteness (us the light skinned civilised natives vs "them" the dark skinned savages) emerges, but it another system of oppression, its not the same as the colonial sphere "whiteness", and i think importing these western racial terms is and was a horrible bad idea.
Just Brainstorming
edit; to make it more obvious, imagine some westerner encountering the Kalash people in south asia, and pointing a finger w "white!". It feels like cultural imperialism and attempts at assimilationism. I dont think all peoples of the world need to deal w the full baggage of the sh (the ancestors of) white post colonial westerners did. Like, it has nothing to do w them, and afting like it does just because of their skin color, is honestly pretty racist and kinda culturally imperialist

The scene where tiffany is crying made me cry the first time.
Then after that, the music and all made it have a kind of tragicomical feel to it. Now its back to very sad, and HIGHLY relatable (despite me not being a trans-person). The self loathing and so on something I too struggle with immensely. Im a 22 yo cis femme lesbian, who is likely also mildly autistic.
I too regularly have thoughts like "I'm gonna save up to have work done and then everything is gonna be fine", and "who could ever love this". At this point not only every day, but every hour, and often, minute. The things that define me in my head are Im socially inept, im cringe and im potato face. Idk thats just how it be. I have an extremely attractive body but I'm too insecure to show it because of the contrast with my face, as I see it.
I was bullied a lot as a kid and teen, for various reasons (one of them was a gender nonconforming phase at 10-12, where I was called Male all the time) and it scarred me for life. I stare at the ground when walking down the street, and cant look people in the eyes because of it.
I also relate a lot to your feeling of having failed at womanhood (And in my case, additionally, at adulthood too)
this will likely only serve as an algorithm boost for you, as no one is gonna see this to begin with, but hey, given that i wrote it already, I might as well just post it.
EDIT; the suspected mild ASD has been confirned. A few months after this was posted i finally found the only centre in my country that evaluates adults, and i am now diagnosed.

All of my illnesses that are now finally diagnosed as physical illnesses, after id been saying it for years and years, were labelled "psychosomatic" by psychs before and dismissed.
difficulty urinating due to a urethral stricture, neck and back pain due to polyradiculopathy on 10 nerve roots, tinnitus tied to an ASD (im a woman..) that i got perpetually gaslit on and only got tested for at 22 after i paid out of pocket and found the testing place myself, headaches due to familial hemiplegic migraine, Digestive issues due to Intestinal methanogen overgrowth (ok that one is complicated, but theres no utility to treating it as psychosomatic, and no treatment is received that way).
all of that had been labelled as "psychosomatic", and ignored.
4 of of these could have been diagnosed with a single test, and my diagnosis was delayed by 6 whole years, and i had to pay all of it out of pocket.
This long term dismissive treatment has left me with a complex bundle of medical trauma that builds upon my previous trauma that i sought help for from psychs in the first place. Had i never sought help from psychs, id be less traumatised than i am now, they did not help with trauma, but did cause me more trauma.
This label is of such a nature (unfalsibiable) that its so damagimg it shouldnt even be used, because it systemically prompts patient dismissal and unserious treatment. It is often used as a euphemism for "hypochondriasis" as well.
Just no.
In reality there are no real distinction between "psychosomatic" and "physical" because your brain is a physical organ, as is your gut. None of that actually really makes sense. All that remains is that strong dismissal potential

In Croatia here, we have an issue with a pro-Ustashe (nazis) bend in how our history is presented, and many of our street names still venerate the Ustashe. In schooling we especially have an issue with this sentiment in catholic religion class (vjeronauk).
In the state exam (matura) on the catholic religion subject test (optional), this year, there was whitewashing of nazi priests like Alojzije Stepinac, anti-communist propaganda, historical revisionism, and the branding of the nazi regime as "atheism in action".
We are in a downward turn with everything here: democracy, healthcare (decaying), anything, our system is Putinising slowly, due to corruption, but what is also scary is how the current situation can so quickly turn into this sort of explicit and mass scale brainwashing that we see in this video.

11:17 Roman: "Interpersonally, Im kinda sexist, however its fine and im very progressive, because i don't force others to be sexist as well" :D
This, depending on your exact circumstances, can be an accurate summary of your stance, or just hyperbole, however, think about the following scenario for a second, just to put things into perspective;
let's say that a particular society is made up of men like yourself; they all seek a domestic servant who will do all the housework for them, by default, because they are female, but claim to be progressive, because they dont force anyone else to be sexist.
So, for all the women who are attracted exclusively to men in that society, their choice is:
1) abstain from relationships with men because of the sexist societal standards, in other words be celibate/only practice short hookups
or 2) get into relationships with men and be relegated to domestic servitude.
This scenario ends up also concentrating all economic power in the hands of men, even if these men pay their domestic servant wives half of their wage for that work (which is minimum decency that isnt too common), because domestic work is not counted as work in CV's and by the governments.
In other words, this pseudo-progressive attitude ends up strongly perpetuating the sexist patriarchal status quo. You don't need to be a raging misogynist to hold sexist attitudes and perpetuate the sexist status quo, Roman.

@ZigZagHockey 1) CO2, methane, etc...are greenhouse gasses, which means they trap heat, so IR radiation shines on Earth and heats it up, but less and less of the heat can escape, which leads to an exoponential temperature rise (exponential function), with it being much, much faster in oceans and other water bodies
2)It forms carbonic acid in oceans and freshwater bodies, which destroys calcareous shells and exoskeletons of plankton, crabs, gastropods.....
3) Since oceans represent 90% of Earth's cooling mechanism, the exponential rise in temperature caused by greenhouse gasses impedes the dissolution of O2 in water bodies (basic chemistry hm) leading to oxygen depletion and eventually mass extinction due to (too) sudden change (adaptational pressure too high)
......
I could go on. All of this is readily available info in studies.

@jamjinn786 I dont support immigration (invasion).
I'm an economically centrist libertarian. Im also against Islamic invasion (and against Christianity gaining relevance as well ofc, Im an atheist) and support rather regulative (when it comes to middle eastern and african immigration) policies, deportation of individuals that don't fulfill the prerequisite qualities in terms of mindset and violence.
Im also against EXCLUSIVELY short term humanitarian help (feeding the issue not addressing the mentality leading to overpopulation) and instead support a combination of short and long term help in form of life supplies+making education as readily accessible as possible, etc. Only giving one of them doesnt work; you'll either have starving kids on their deathbed who cant even get up let alone go to school, or youll have kids who are not starving but are festering in lack of education.
Both partialistic humanitarian help and open borders are feeding the issue, its counterproductive.
Tell me, did you gain all your "insight" into what what you call members of the "climate change cult", which I presume is supposed to be a low brow insult to myself, from yelling exploitative unqualified imbeciles like Steven Crowder and the like?
To clarify, Im not a member of any cult, Ive seen environmentalist activists make erraneous claims. but that doesnt affect scientific reality and its ramifications. Stop strawmanning your opposition.
PETA is a scam organisation, which doesnt mean animal rights groups in general absolutely are, nor does it mean conservation of the environment is a scam (example). It doesnt mean climate change is not real just because SOME groups try to overexploit it...
Reality is not black and white (black and white fallacy here).
Real life people are not your strawmanned biased version.

soytheist, It would be great if you inform yourself on the existence of ulcerative colitis, certain types of eating disorders, and food intolerances, to learn about a new kind of privilege, one arising from health.
And now imagine combining several of those in the same person. This does in fact happen, people have health issues you do not relate to, and thus these perspectives are brushed aside or denied.
As many vegans ive seen talk on the subject, you focus on economic privilege and ignore any and all other types of privilege, including health and access to health screening.
This is clearly flawed reasoning.
Personally, As someone with an eating disorder, food intolerances to fodmaps, gastritis and reflux, attempting veganism has led me in the past to being unable to get up into a standing position and starving almost to unconsciousness, alone. So be free to tell me that I am evil for wanting to live and having those to temporarily stay flexitarian, That is your right, but what you're advocating would essentially be advocating my suicide through starvation.

I guess I should now convey the experience w our Croatian public transport😐 keep in mind this is a public company 😭
in short; 200 kids, grannies in a single bus (actual capacity ~32 people), presseed against every single fucking surface of the bus, with an open door, being driven at 80 km/h, grannies getting crushed by malfunctional doors.
I got back problems from years of that shit, almost flew out the open door (at 80 km/h) several times, foot got crushed thrice by the door, got deaf temporarily, with permanent damage from the idiot driver honking at full volume at 50 cm away from me (the horn is at the entrance), puked from other people's sweat and stinky breath eternally in my face
The bus still often arrives 10 mins early and leaves even tho there's a waiting spot for the bus.
Ofc generally no masks now xD
etc.
This went on for 7 years. I was 9-15/16
FUCK
Kill me.

@kerryirwin881 As a biology undergrad, humans could go on destroying the earth, and unless there's a disaster to wipe out all irresponsible humans (most humans on earth today), it will continue this fast extinction and destruction, this torture of life on Earth, but that wont really eliminate humans.
Times will just get bad (economically, no resources, politically).
We are actually seeing the start of this.
People are not making environmentally friendlier choices in day to day life;
disposable plastic, personal transport, overconsuming meat, all of that is what is destroying the earth.

McRee Marie @McRee Marie first it's not a theory its called a hypothesis. Second of all these hypotheses are not mine they are the current stances of science ofc.
Now that we got that out of the way, what is it exactly that you are asking me lol. Are you asking me when for example coily hair evolved and why? I mean give me something specific so I can answer you properly.
And maybe ask some sub saharan specific things like big lips and nose slightly prognathic face profile and so on. These are black specific, others like very curly hair, dark skin arent, they are found in both Australoids and Dravidians (only dark skin in Dravidians). And higher muscularity is specific for a small group of west africans. Most sub saharan africans are long and thin, less muscular than an average modern human, suited to endurance rather than explosions of power unlike europeans. Same with reflexes, simply no race has faster reflexes, its down to the environment growing up and the individual
Now here is the essential part for you to understand, sub saharans are extremely diverse, the lighter skinned small, asian eyed Khoisan people are both genetically and phenotipically, miles away from the average west african. So talking about the evolution of sub saharan africans as if they were a single homogenous population is idiotic.You will simply have to be more specific.

@bittersweetua insulting based on sex, sexuality, gender, etc isnt free speech.
You have a right to criticise constructively, not to abuse others.
Now, as a green social libertarian, Im fully against islam's islamophobia, blasphemy laws narrative, as criticising islam isnt hate speech. That is the only nugget of truth in the entire narrative. Islam is playing the system, and discriminating against LGBT+ people, etc has no connection to this.
PS I know you didnt learn this in good ole Murica ( g r e a t kontry), but Europe is bigger than a few NW ruropean countries.
Take a peek at events in Belarus,an ultra capitalistic country (dictatorship) snowflake.
Take a peek at events in Serbia.
Snd well, just learn some 5th grader level geography, of Europe that is.

@searchfluoridemakesyoustup5883
did you even watch the video lol
Recycling is first off an energetically wasteful process, and more importantly, creating a market for plastic waste leads to manufaftured demand. That is more plastic packaging is used on purpouse to make more waste.
We are seeing this happen more and more.
Out of the recyclables sent to SE asia, only a few percent is recycled, while the rest is variousy dumped on mass landfills, into natural waters and burned.
you CANNOT rely on recycling, we dont even really know how to do it. it is a lie.
You need to avoid plastic packaging and bottles, bags, microbeads in cosmetics, and what cannot be avoided should be used as fuel (RDF e.g.).
"plastic recycling" w the currently used methodology is not really part of a sustainable future
At the same time investment into new technologies should be done, especially to find an alternative to plastic.

@realsh7992 um...the source for the Abrahamic faiths are the holy scriptures, all of which describe Allah/Yhwh as omnipotent, omniscient and omnibenevolent. Which is a paradox even without the other contradictions like the paradox of free will and countless other inconsistencies or direct paradoxes.
All souces describe him as having these qualities.
And now something I went over multiple times already. You as a science student should know that proving a negative isn't a thing, as in you dont go around proving the nonexistence of fairies, trolls, Odin, leprechauns, violet magic unicorns behind the Moon, hags, Baba Yaga or gods for them to be dismissed. Everything is dismissed until undisputable proof is brought and is not even considered until there is some indication of its likelihood. Proof could (hypothetically) prove a deistic god but not the Abrahamic one (paradoxical)
But it seems ultimately that you misunderstood the point of the original "stop the god stuff" comment.
Anyone can believe whatever ridiculousness they want, its crucial to maintain freedom of thought.I am not an antitheist.
BUT any such concept is obsolete until they bring undisputable proof of its existence to the table (which given the immense paradoxicality of the Abr. god is only possible for some other versions of a god) they are to stop claiming that it exists and EVEN AFTER a hypothetical proof of existence they are to stop trying to make every situation about it, trying to push obedience of its wishes on others, or trying to include religion into government, as mere existence doesnt make the deity automatically worthy of praise.
Dogma pollutes discourse, stops advancement, causes violence and torn families/friends, unnecessary deaths and suffering of gays, atheists ...you name it.
Self oblivion as in trying to ignore and "oh we could al get along just fine sunshine rainbows" is a counterproductive path. Ideas MUST be challenged, rigorously.
Someone who is into an Abrahamic religion cannot think rationally because they are INDOCTRINATED, Abr. religion is psychologically manipulative and harmful.
Tell me. Have you ever studied the psychology of religion? I have and have experienced it and its violent manipulative culty outlook first hand. After you dive into the psychology of religion and totalitarian regimes (same it is) trust me you are going to be absolutely revolted.
No sunshines, rainbows and oh the world would be a better place if we all were intellectually lazy. Try that approach with religion in place of power, moderate muslim or any case really. That will not work lol the Abr. religions are totalitarian ideologies....

@ashy_inking1476 we should all understand that people dont need to embody a stereotype to be sapphic, but after that is established, i think saying “look gay” is ok in a lot of contexts. It’s all context dependent and sometimes people take such expressions too literally (e.g. “She looks so gay” = “and if you dont look like that then you aint gay”).
its kinda like “oh he doesnt look like a goth because he doesnt dress in stereotypical fashion” , but said guy does listen to goth music, and thus is a goth.
We can discuss where the line of “ok to stereotype” goes exactly, but cant get rid of this way of thinking fully ever, because patterns are how se orient outselves in the world, see connections, learn, etc, We cant get rid of it fully, as anything else would overload out brains quickly. this is why i stress assuming “critically”.

You see, for that to be possible, first humans would need to stop breeding out of proportion, then stop wasting it, we would need to stop consuming bottled water, whose packaging is both extremely wasteful to produce, and killing the environment, and FINALLY the world would need to stop overeating on products that consume a massive amount of water to produce, that is meat and dairy, ESPECIALLY beef.
Energy and especially water are lost through the food cycle.
Our population is supposed to be naturally in dozens and hundereds of THOUSANDS to be in equilibrium, not billions, and our current food
EDIT; oh and rich cunts would need to stop having damn pools.
The chlorine evaporates killing the environment, AND its a hugewaste of water
EDIT; forgot to mention tourism and other industries that waste water like crazy

Can you do a video on Major depression with mixed features (MDD-MX), and Major Depression with Anxious distress (MDD-AX)?
EDIT: I just realised you have covered related topics before (i believe). In case you have covered this topic, please ignore my comment
I believe theres a lack of clarity and that most psychiatrists dont even consider them a real thing, that is dont think the distinction between MDD and these is even considered important, even tho MDD-MX will worsen if antidepressants and theres a clear link between MDDMX (MDDAX i believe too) and bipolar disorder.
*************************************
Im scared (esp due to the 2 psychs till now either not listening to me or that+ reporting quite an amount of false information in my report) that no one is going to recognise the potential MDD-MX or try to.
I have OCD too (that one is confirmed), and likely PTSD, GAD and SAD.
Severe anxious and depressive symptoms confirmed but not specified further.
I quite often experience something that fits the description of mixed episode.
Ive had a severely depressed mood for about 7 years (since I was 13-14).
But in the last couple, it became less unipolar in nature.
My father's cousin has bipolar.
Im get Racing thoughts, psychomotor agitation,
incredibly distracted, switching tasks in an erratic manner, speaking fast and assertively (to myself cuz Im alone all the time sadly), self esteem improves.
For hours today Ive had this depressed, anxious mood (swinging intensities of anxiety, and my regular OCD, ptsd ) but then came this different mood with jumpiness (Fast rhythmic sit-jumping on my bed) and I was smiling for no reason (even tho everything around me is a mess and the life situation is baad).
Handwriting changed from more orderly to less, movements turned faster and more agitated.
Kinda like mild hypomanic symptoms, but they dont last for days, rather hours or even less sometimes (20 mins).
So i have states of simultaneous depressed and hypomanic mood but also some short bursts of more predominantly hypomanic mood.
Im very confused and wondering how hypomanic innature this is, because Im chronically socially isolated so my energy builds up too, with no release mechanism.
PS I wrote the part below * mostly to keep a record of my mood, so the important part is before that

@kgarrison7556 No need to apologise. But let's start;
well I constantly hear native speakers say stuff like
"The best thing I have EVER seen IN MY LIFE", which is a big fat pleonasm.
Some say "most clearest" or "expecially".
In fact, literally like 99% of native speakers say the first one and dont even know it's a pleonasm (and many don't know what a pleonasm is but that's another topic lol).
Many native speakers say "It's very nasally" instead of "very nasal".
and so on and on.
People from my country, who are native speakers of our language (a slavic one) make grammatical mistakes aaaall the time just the same, including unsightly pleonasms.
constantly.
In short, being a native speaker in NO WAY makes you immune to grammatical mistakes.
And most people's linguistic ability is ...well...kinda disappointing
Third, even if someone normally makes mistakes when speaking English because they are not a native speaker, it doesn't make something they may say about the grammar of another person factually wrong.
And to answer your question, no I'm not a native english speaker.
But I can't say I think it's that relevant.
You can and should fact check everything I wrote here, especially the first one, and you will see there is a very obvious distinction between the two uses.

@spht9ng well, I'm left centre, so i'm a left libertarian (green social libertarianism), but definitely liberal doesnt have a set meaning.
The only marginally defined meaning is that it's a socially and economically centrist ideology.
So the center of the political spectrum.
So it's not particularly pro liberties as it's centrist.
Yet the other meaning exactly contradicts the first meaning;
more liberal as in more pro liberties
This is contrasted with libertarianism, which again has several meanings that have shifted over time.
Libertarianism sed to refer to leftish, centre left or even left ideologies such as social democracy
(in general called now left libertarianism)
yet now mainly refers to right libertarianism (libertarian capitalism), who have recently claimed it for themselves.
So the past meaning of libertarian, and the current one(s) are in sharp contradiction for example.
Two opposing philosophies.
The only thing they still share is being more pro social* liberties.
The extreme corner of Left Libertarianism is Anarcho Communism.
The extreme corner of Right Libertarianism is Anarcho-Capitalism.
Fundamental opposition.
Now about Antifa. Hah.
Antifa are generally Anarcho Communists, democratic socialists, anarcho-syndicalists.
So they protest capitalism or any mixed economy, as well more moderate social views, but especially stringent conservative ones.
They have become pretty violent, and I see from the people I know that support for antifa also correlates with extreme feminism for example.
The people I know who support antifa are democratic socialists.
So I, even tho I am pretty far left and down into Left Libertarianism, a Green Social libertarian, don't want to associate w antifa.

@KateeAngel he said average if I'm not mistaken, certainly did in previous ones, but from what I remember did in this one too.
No worriez, Im from a balkan shithole, same fake governmental jobs, or leeches, also known as "uhljebi" here.
So again most folk work for minimal pay, so $534 (with 25% tax rate, european prices,etc hoho,prepare to starve)
Here's about "uhljebi";
https://www.in-formality.com/wiki/index.php?title=Uhljeb_(Croatia)
But the average is the average. He should really say "most russians" not avg :B.

14:45 several western countries have censorship going on. Ireland just recently (2020) repealed its blasphemy laws, under which ridiculing God, the Catholic church or christianity came with a fine of up to €25 000 (!). Many other western european countries or territories still have blasphemy laws, including Scotland, N Ireand, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Montenegro. So ridicule of religion is considered a crime, and is not included into dreedom of speech and expression. Think about that.
As far as ytytytytyz goes, well you might wanna look into the fake animal rescue epidemic for example, how they are monetized and all, and content raising awareness restricted, demonetized. Protecting violent animal abuse.
Not only that but all kinds of commentos, not only inflammatory ones, get yeeeeeted.
Im a green socdem, so Im not pro convervative values.

@tabbycat3610 "literal mammary gland tissue" * excuse me for my momentary linguistic overreaction for effect.
The studies on soy are somewhat conflicting. And if you have read them you should know that.
The way you respond to soy changes dramatically based on;
The soy cultival, method of preparation, preexisting hormone levels in your body, ethnicity ( correlate with specific genetic variants that determine whether you can even digest soy)....
You know that the studies are not clear on that.
And I gave the example of a real toddler (now not toddler anymore), not an adult. An adult is not going to ever develop MaMmArY TiSsUe from soy.
But I also know that all examples of kids being fed a vegan diet Ive seen have been detrimental for the child. Another now teen, but used to be a young girl in our city was fed a vegan diet by her mother and she could not concentrate at all, she was so thin, pale, and lifeless.
Im not against a vegan diet done right (and then especially egg inclusive vegetarianism and dairy inclusive vegetarianism), it would be beneficial if the part of the population that is metabolically suited to such a diet would indeed be vegan. FOr example I couldnt ever be vegen/vegetarian because im intolerant to all sorts of beans, corn, and similar as well as lactose intolerant.
But when I say not against or pro veganism Im talking about veganism done right, and 98% of veganism attempts are NOT done right. And Im against kids, especially young ones, being fed a vegan, vegetarian or a diet with a lot of red meat or a lot of refined sugar/unhealthy in any other way because its too risky at that point.

@99Cafer99 What you put into recyclables in Germany is sent first to a sorting and collection facility and then to SE asia, where it is chucked into ecosystems snd burned,nand only a very small fraction is recycled (even leds thsn when China and India were the landfill of the western countries) in any form, as I slready said.
I dont know what your basis is for believing thT "probably its still recycled in SE asia" even tho you have never seen what happens to it beyond thesorting facility and our available data absolutely contradicts this.
SE asia cannot even handle all the imported western trash, so recyclables even go back to the country of origin are are incinerated, in the UK for example
Research some on this lol.
Wishful thinking is not helping anyone..
I might post a few links
I will inform you that for waste to be considered recycled in the West, it simply needs to be sorted, collected, and sent off to SE asia, to be burned or chucked on landfills.
You are believing this lie and parroting of politicians without any research of your own
This is a general trend.
What h.appens in smalled countries is harder to find, but theres really no reason to believe its any diffeent , except when used for RDF fuel.
Germany is documented to burn half of its waste, and export part of the rest as recyclables, specifically1/3, is exported as "recyclables", and what happens to those is an old story;
Read some here:
https://amp2.handelsblatt.com/the-plastic-trail-how-germanys-recycling-ends-up-in-malaysian-dumps-/24037020.html

@Varriks no they arent. Bro I know my country and surrounding countries (Europe).
Germany is an exception, as are Iberian countries, and some other european countries.
But a big chunk of countries do not follow thus trend; Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, Italy (trust me I went to an italian minority school, tho im not of italian descent, they dont say e.g. "stato di Molise" ever lol, rather country and state are both indicated by the word "stato" ) and so onnnn.
The first few I know for a fact dont even have different words for state and country (in croatian USA as a country is a "država", and us states are "savezne države". I speak several languages well enough to know for a fact that they are not states, but other kinds of divisions, mostly with no to very little authority.
so whats your point with presenting exceptions?
my point stands EDIT you wrote every country is made up of states, which is obviously and demonstrably false

What I find rather confusing with libertarianism is that there seems to be a mismatch between it's meaning in philosophy in general, and politics specifically.
There's even mismatches in politics, with confusion surrounding definitions.
There is left libertarianism (I am one, and dont exactly believe in free will, or at least, that its extremely limited, and from what I've seen, you too are in the green quadrant), and there is right libertarianism.
Left Libertarianism is the original form, while right libertarianism is a mid 20th century invention.
Nonetheless, right libertarianism being the dominant form in the USA, the meaning of "libertarian" seems to have shifted to mean primarily right libertarian.

@billlupin8345
I was sleep deprived (still am) so I wrote kg instead of lb (Im european so kg is an automatism).
220 lbs*
hmpf
However, it turns out that this is only data by the US Department of Agriculture, which tends to always minimise the huge figures.
Instead, here is the data by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (you can check that);
It was ~250 pounds per year in 2013, likely having continued to rise.
Australia is up there w the usa in overeating.
I currently maintain my consumption at 65 lbs/year. Very little dairy as im lactose intolerant.
You might think Im a vegan or another type of vegetarian, but Im not, Im a reductionist/flexitarian of a sort, also study biology so ecology is kind of one of my focuses.
I believe a more pragmatic approach, which if applied (and it is easier to reduce and watch consumption than cut out totally, especially suddenly, tho it also opens up the door to bs and straying off the set goal daily average), would lead to a bigger neto global reduction.
This is not philosophical ethicality wise, rather the practical side.

"Even though biomed blood extraction is considered a "low-mortality catch and release" use, as many as 30 percent of horseshoe crabs die from the bleeding process. This doesnt even account from the delayed deaths that occur after return to the sea.
The supply is limited, and the toll is huge. Some 600,000 animals in the U.S. are harvested each year for this purpose," says Tanacredi.
There are reports that biomed companies use. suctioning devices after the blood flow drops to almost nothing.
Many companies dont return them to the sea, rather sell them as bait.
And the long-term impact may be much worse. In areas where the most crabs are harvested for bloodletting, fewer females show up to spawn. The problem is worse in Asia, where no animals are returned to their habitat. "In Singapore during the breeding season, 10,000 adults per day are harvested, bled out and then prepared for sale as food. At this rate they could be extinct there in a decade," Tanacredi says. Our own Limulus polyphemus was placed on the vulnerable list by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature in 2016.
In addition to habitat loss, this means that the horseshoe population is decreasing pretty rapidly, and could become extinct pretty soon

@robertdumicz7309 of course you commit a fallacy by claiming that god is eternal hah. In fact at least 3 simultaneously
It's a non sequitur fallacy. And a contradiction. And a massive special pleading fallacy.
-The universe is not eternal
-therefore god (who declaratively controls every aspect of this universe and is hence by the very laws of physics part of it himself, as objects not part of our universe cannot exercise near the same amount of influence, especially not control, the only vaguely hypotheticslly possible exogenous interaction is collisions with other universes*) exists and is eternal
lol
and the multiverse hypothesis is in itself an unfalsifiable, untestable, completely unevidenced escapist assertion which is unsurprisingly used by faith based systems (religion) to hide from the scientific method, that is, make themselves the exception (that same special pleading fallacy). In itself wouldnt in any way evidene god but is convenient due to it's unfalsifiability.
One could make up any number of unfalsifiable assertions.
It's a concept of no validity and of a rather telling genesis if we examine the psychology and usage of it.
The fact that you search and cherry pick for self confirming information to legitimise ridiculous beliefs, instead of basing your belief or lack thereof on open scientific rationalisation and discussion, is very very telling, and universal among faith based systems.

@searchfluoridemakesyoustup5883 and yes the govt is not doing any of that, but hey, the people are not voting for a government that remotely considers this an issue are they, nor are the people protesting for the environmentalist cause, placing direct demands.
Activism, voting for reform, and personal action as a consumer
Theres no legal quick fix, we can instead not consume, that is reduce consumption strategically and naturally shift the market.
Youd be surprised what power consumer action holds
Plastic itself is not really the bulk of the issue here, its DISPOSABLE plastic.
For long term use, aluminum forexample isnt really better, as its production is incredibly polluting &(thats why modern aluminum phones are bigger killers than plastic ones)
Its disposable plastic thats the issue

uwau I realised after I had written that comment, that is after reading the second time that I misunderstood one part, and that you meant prettymuch the same.
So sorry about that.
But aside from that,
"The only reason religion has been abused is due to "muh extremist leaders"
disagree here
But now here's something I want to ask (tho dont really know how).
So you are an agnostic, but an agnostic what?
agnostic atheist, agnostic theist, agnostic undecided...?
If It isnt private info in which case pardon me.
Now I'll write something about (a)gnosticism and (a)theism, in order to come to a theoretisation at the end.
I see the word agnostic used in pretty weird ways gotta say. The term is seemingly pretty widely misunderstood.
I mean "agnostic" doesnt mean much. A huge proportion of religious people are agnostic theists rather than gnostic ones.
I'm also an agnostic. Yet I'm also an atheist. Agnostic atheist denotes an Explicit negative atheist, contrasted to Gnostic atheist which denotes an Explicit positive atheist.
I'm not an atheist I'm an agnostic is like saying I'm not a human I'm tall.
Gnostic/agnostic pertains to knowledge, while theist/atheist to belief; they describe entirely different facets of one's position.
Do I claim I categorically know no gods exist? no; Agnostic
Do I believe that any gods exist? no;Atheist
Now one can be agnostic and questioning/undecided, but to describe oneself as just agnostic is....well pretty lacking in terms of how much info it conveys.
It all seems to come from this false pop cultural image that agnosticism is an intermediate between atheism and theism, which it categorically, and absolutely isnt.

@z0ranz0ran
Some know it because of Yugoslavia, but that obv excludes young folk like me (Im 20).
It's actually rare for young folk to be able to write cyrillic here.
I learned it as a kid simply because I wanted to understand another script, nothing else.
I didn't learn it to access content because all content I access is in english. There is very little content for my interests (studies; biology, physics, psychology, philosophy, blabla) in Croatian, and absolutely none in Serbian.
No I don't hide it, why would I, but it's not like imma go around yellin YAGAYAXA I CAN SPELL IN CYRILLIC YEEEHHJ BOW DOWN lmfao
And one thing to mention is that I learned it some 7 years ago, and very rarely use it, so Im rather slow at both reading (especially) but also kinda slow at writing in cyrillic

@colonelkenpachi5009
Firstly, hospitals DONT have the capacity to host the % of hospital necessitating cases in ANY country, even by themselves, let alone if the infections are let loose, and let alone together with all the other medical conditions aside of covid complications..
Without hospital care, in an uncontrolled high infection rate, without ECMO,ventilators, etc the death rate and infection rate rise sharply.
Secondly, even if the risk of death with complete apathy leading to infection rates far exceeding hospital capacities were to remain 4% ( which it does NOT), the current US death rate,
youd be ok with murdering 23 million people worldwide. Double digit percentages of that being young people; someones sons and daughters, and the rest being someones parents and grandparents. That is absolutely revolting.
Thirdly,
A huge proportion of all covid infections, including "mild" ons end up with long term damage (sequelae); pulmonary, cardiac, hematological, renal, neurological, dermatological, or multiorgan (which both lower the quality of life and shorten the lifespan of the individuals affected).
The sufferers of long term effects include all age groups.
One type of long term effect syndrome that occurs in children is "Multisystem-Inflammatory Syndrome in Children" (MIS-C).
68% of all people who had suffered mild covid get a new pathological diagnosis within 6 months.
And new strains are deadlier than the previous ones.
Its amazing that one can be this dense in and of itself, but I wont be trying to educate on the basics of common sense and basic biology beyond this.
Cheers

@KappaKiller108 I am saying that the demand for raising and killing rats needlessly for food is artificially and needlessly created, by needlessly breeding pet snakes. Whether the animal raised as food is cute or a naked ugly rat doesnt matter in the slightest, what matters is sentience. Im not a specieist or lookisz, i dont trat fluffy cute pet dogs as morally above a deformed looking "ugly" farm
pig, thats something that rather applies more to the average person and likely yourself too.
So, If you already have a snake then you should feed it, but you should then not breed another snake that will have the same needs necessitating needless violence. Dont create issues needlessly, dont manufacture demand for violence. Same logic as dont create wars.
Trying to justify breeding rats as pet snake food, is the same moral paradigm as trying to justify breeding dogs or children for food just because some creature x you bought as pet eats dog/human flesh as primary food. Stop breeding and keeping such animals as pets dammit.
"My needlessly bred dog/human eating pet needs dog/human flesh so actually breeding dog/human meat is ok"
"are you saying that I shouldnt feed my exotic carnivore dogs bred for food,should i let it die?"
I am saying, stop breeding animals with such needs tbw, cut the needless demand for violence.
Im not sure how this simple logic is so hard to understand, but hopefully this clears it up.
edit; typo

@beerfarts3305 "A zygote is not a single cell...Its a cell" lmao.
Seemingly a person competely devoid of exposure to analogies you are... Well, tragic indeed.
And yet, so reliant on strawmanning. wooh.
Anyways, I dont know in which country taking a skin cell and then killing it using a hypertonic solution is a crime or assault. Kids do it at school every day.
Its not being a collection of cells that constitutes lower moral obligation lmao, its being a morule, a gastrule, a blastocyst and not a formed human, with no formed brain, no capacity to process painful stimuly as theres a lack of relevant neurons. Clump signifies no organised organs by default. And in this case a lack of defining human features obviously, which are all contained within the brain.
Moreover, a dog is technically illegal to kill not because its a higher vertebrate that feels pain as deeply as humans, but because its someones property, aaand ofc because its a cute organism.
But you see, that calf whose carcass you devour is just as sentient and loving, and yet you can do anything to it, dismember whatnot,and penalties are mostly nonexistent, occasionally really small. Hypocrisy through the roof.
Addition:
First, what exactly "above" means in this use.
Second; is this superiority predicated on the Bible perhaps?
Thirdly; how is this supposed (unsupported) superiority relevant when establishing the fact that terminating a life that doesnt yet feel pain or have a will for life isnt worse than slaughtering billions of higher vertebrates raised in misery for sensory pleasure DESPITE there being other options for obtaining all nutrients? ( go read what unbiased science says about vegetarianism and veganism, not just your uneducated pastor or your cowardly bias).
Whether its acceptable to terminate a life depends on: does it feel pain, does it cause someone else pain to terminate this life, is it crucial for the ecosystem. It also depends on what can be gained.
A human zygote can only satisfy one of the requirements (2.) but that constitutes forced abortion which is a horrid crime.
And one thing you antropocentric nut jobs dont even try to understand is that legalising abortions (up to a gestational age limit) drops abortion rates exponentially.
So you'd actually be saving lives if it werent for your overblown egos.
PS nice username. ew

The slur aside, this convo is atp universally mis-framed. Human attraction isnt about gender identity (i.e. attraction to women/men/nb people),it's as you have said so yourself at one point "attraction to someone's perceptible features".
You cannot perceive someone's gender identity obv
(non platonic) Attraction thus concerns sex characteristics, fashion/style, and then additionally personality/cognitive features, and has nothing inherently to do with gender identity.
And i mean, consider this. Ima fem4fem lesbian , and just because im into both many women and many feminine enbies (that i cannot visually tell apart) that doesnt make me Bisexual lol.
For this reason, a definition of lesbian such as "women who like women" is nonsense.
Needless to say, the new "non-men loving non-men" definition is a total nightmare.
A couple of masculine cis man-passing AFAB enbies are lesbians? and a cis man looking enby + a gay cis woman are a lesbian relationship? sorry, no, thats just not useful at all, only bisexual women will be attracted to such individuals, not lesbians. And it makes it real easy for men on dating apps to hijack...
Thanks for reading.

@QueenAngelCakes Ignoring sex characteristics is not going to work either, if thats what you mean, as the vast majority of people's sexual and romantic orientaion rely not just on gender expression, but also, and even more strongly in fact, on sex characteristics.
You have so many lesbians who are specifically isnto a combo of female sex characteristics and masculine presentation (butches), but not into masculine presenting male looking people, or feminine presenting female looking people. Both the female sex (passing), and masculine expression must be present for attraction to have a potential of arising.
In my own case Im not going into someone with a visibly non-female sex characteristics profile regardless of their gender expression, and regardless of how much i support trans rights and want the best for this group of people,.Both female sex (passing) and femme / femme-ish androgyny in expression have to be present, because thats simply what my orientation is, thats what sets attraction of and it has that way since toddlerhood.
And, really, if you think about it, though this is a crude natural reality, gender expression can only ever even achieve its desired effect at all in the context of an approproiate anatomical base. E.g. a buff ripped anatomically masculine biologically male person can wear the most feminine intented clothes and makeup, but that will not achieve the intended effect on their anatomy. This is one of the fundamental reasons transfeminine people transition, they want to like their own anatomy, and their want their partner to see them a certain way/to be attracted to them in the right way (e.g. to bee attracted to them as female passing, as a feminine woman, as opposed to as an androgynous/effeminate twink, to use the example of Contra herself).
Thus we reach the conclusion, that much like gender presentation, anatomy is an integral aspect of attraction. Anatomy (feminine-androgynous-masculine) and gender expression (feminine-androgynous-masculine) are BOTH integral parts of basic attraction, while gender identity is not directly involved. Thus a useful orientation descriptor takes the former two into account but not the latter.

Just to chime in for a second.
About the nociception in grasshoppers thing, well, we do know from more recent research that insects DO in fact release endogenous opioids in response to injury. Same as crustaceans.
Not only that, but they also avoid using that limb (or whatever other body part that was injured) in the future, and display what seems to be neuropathic pain at the site, etc.
Essentially all the features of nociception are there, and the only barrier and objection is this traditional "yes but they are too stupid/dont have a developed enough consciousness so it doesnt count as much, we are not convinced", even tho we dont actually know how self aware they are, except that they are more self aware and complex than previously thought.
This counts for many other arthropods like crustaceans too. Etc.
It even counts for Cephalopods like the octopus.
If Im not mistaken, the octopus doesnt have the same kinds of nociceptors as vertebrates do, nor does it have the cerebral cortex, as it has very divergent nervous system structure, but it DOES certainly according to research feel pain.
So its fallacious to even assume that an organism needs the same kind of nociceptors as found in vertebrates to experience pain. It seems to be a case of convergent evolution. Different mechanisms, one of which are the familiar vertebrate nociceptors, all lead to the ability to experience of pain. Different means same result.
Conclusion, we cannot, at this point, quantify pain.

@BaieDesBaies
And now a final section on absolutism, that is demand of absolute objectivity, absolute knowledge and absolute certainty (100%, no decimals) of knowledge. This is in the realm of philosophy, specifically epistemology, and is what you are pointlessly drilling now,like many kids and adults alike have done.
But why find me to explain it to you when you have the entire internet at your disposal. Do read into epistemology
Find Andrew Rae's answer on this;
https://www.quora.com/Can-we-ever-prove-anything-with-absolute-100-accuracy
"proof" is limited to mathematics.
Natural sciences use provisional evidence.
PS It will be sad if you miss it again, but my job here is done. I do not intend on wasting time on folk like this anymore.
I have provided you with resources.
Read bro.
Serving on a platter no more.
Wont be replying.
EDIT: let me just say that your apparently demonstrated lack of discernment between what a theory is and what a hypothesis is shows a basal lack of education in this field. I think it is rather telling.
You learn that even in middle school for the first time, but even if you forget that, if you actually care about what's true, you won't allow such blatant lack of investment in the methods of attaining that truth.
Most people dont know the difference and use it wrong. Similarly most folk are abysmal at scientific thinking, and its starkingly correlational

@adfr3d470 who she lol.
Ok extreeemely unlikely.
First off, let me just correct smth; its not bosnians its bosniaks.
Bosnian is a nationality not an ethnicity. Bosnians are composed of three main groups; Bosnian Serb, Bosniak, Bosnian Croats.
The first are traditionally serbian orthodox, second muslim, third roman catholic.
And now; Extreeemelyy unlikely, Because;
Bosnians dont follow sharia law, nor do they cover up like that.
Its an extreme rarity.
Traditionally the Islam there derives from Hanafi Sunni Islam, but most bosniaks who are muslim dont consider themselves as anything past muslim.
Old women wear a hijab or similar there
Younger somen wear no coverings, just dress in regular clothes.
Its nothing near the level of radicalism you see in other M. They are "just" quite conservative, but doesnt compare to others. In fact Bosnians are the likely most liberal traditionally Muslim ethnic group globally. Still very conservative, but in light of the religion, the most liberal.

cats VERY much damage the environment, more than dogs
From the meat they (and most humans) eat and the impact of its production, all the tens-hundereds of thousands of native species they drove to extinction, the methane and CO2 that comes out of their feces and flatulence, the pollution from their poop, and so on
many of these issues, like native wildlife extinction, are not one of the negatives of dogs.
Needless to say they all have a negative impact, that can be minimised by minimising the number of pets (one per person or less), and making informed choices regarding their feeding, spaying shitting and especially not letting them hunt.
Educate yourself lady! ignorance is a very bad trait

@SpartanGnome Honey, if only you knew the basic biology i could explain to you why twins are mostly not the same sexuality, but I have a feel you have never even heard of these terms boo :3
Imma try, Im a bio undergrad so.
Twins are more often than not NOT the same sexuality, EVEN THO there is a very strong correlation in such a way that if one is gay, the other one has a several thousands times elevated chance of being gay too.
Being gay is caused by the following factora; genetics, EPIGENETICS, distribution and levels of different hormones in the prenatal period.
These combine to make people gay, all sorts of bi, pan or straight.
please learn what epigenetics is today, and exit the bronze age ^^

Heres my commentary:
- First a personal anecdote. I started out as center left, as a social liberal "socdem". Now im left wing demsoc influenced by anarchist socialism, especially syndicalism. My gateway was my environmentalist attitude
- Research has clearly shown that spanking is counterproductive.
- Don't give the libertarianism to the conservatives/neoliberals, it used to mean left libertarianism historically.
- By land is meant larger swaths of land, not your yard and house. Im a demsoc- libsoc hybrid and i support a limit on cca 10 hectares or such.
- Taxation can be done progressively, such that a the poorest get negetive tax.
- i think your attitude toward women is pretty bad, you have some sexism to overcome. You can find your mate who is ok with your standards, but the question asked a prescriptive statement, of women in genera. As a woman, i dislike your attitude toward us, it leads to the class segregation based on sex, and to women doing much more labour in total than men.

@whogavejohnthecamera no shit.
So the old testament isn't isnt part of the Bible or what is your argument exactly 🤣?
Im from a 90% Catholic country, read the Bible and Quran, am an Atheist.
Let's see the new testament;
in this episode the big man on the cloud sends his son down on Earth as a pig for slaughter to take on the sins of the world (because sins are heritable, oh what a logical idea, and can be sold and traded apparently, not at all simple selfish bronze age superstition).
But hey, not a pig, because this aint no deed of altruism, he needs to be human, to make it as dramatic and to provoke as big if a needless guilt response as possible.
So that you can then worship this narcissistic deity even tho you owe it nothing, you didnt ask to be created, he created pain.
nut no, CheEzus dIeD fOr noThiNg tHen :<
the abrahamic religions are the most en masse case of emotional and psychological abuse in existence
Do read the Bible fromcover to cover kid, it will make you more aware.
1
-
1
-
@whogavejohnthecamera Yes, you cherrypick this old text.
How most opportune and unexpected.
You are afraid, and feel guilt because "jesus died for your sins", and also codependent on the false comfort it provides.
You dont make an exception for any other bronze age genocidal text, coindidental it isnt that you do so for the Bible.
Instead of rejecting this abhorrent ideology, you shut off your emotional response, only to preserve the belief in this parasitic parent figure.
About attacking religion,
no one cares and shouldnt care that you dont appreciate it.
Ideas should and must be attacked, thats how rotten authoritarian ideas (like the abrahamic ideologies) are challenged.
Ideas that try to shut down criticism,ban it, use emotional blackmail, or any other method, are instantly flagged a fiery red.
Hitler wouldnt appreciate you criticising his ideology either.
And yes I know full well that some of you are decent folk, and that is exactly what makes it so sad.
That you are going against yourself to defend a bronze age primitive violent ideology out of fear and guilt it instilled in you

@whogavejohnthecamera nope,
the Hebrew one is riddled with contradictions too.
Aware of some of the inconsistencies. Like the rib of adam thing. Doesnt impact its ridiculousness much.
Snd the impact wasnt even as big as you think.
Had a metslhead religion teacher who spoke and could write hebrew, she pointed out inconsistencies to us when I was in HS.
Also denounced the creation myth, and the parting of the Red Sea, among other things.
At which point, the motivation behind the perdistence of belief becomes rather evident
Humans long not for what is true, but for internal consistence, no matter how ridiculous.
like you now.
When we invest our lives and trust into something, we are massively prone to a psychological effect that keeps us locked in with a belief even when ripe with cognitive dissonance and doublethink.
I recommend reading some research on the *Escalation of commitment effect*.
EDIT; https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escalation_of_commitment
The nature of religious tactics pulls families apart when a belief is denounced, forming yet another pressure tactic.
So on.
I can see you are trying to rationise your belief and justify it in any manner possible, exploring every option, like everyone before you in this stage.
the very existence of a creation myth that has now been denounced as fiction (finally) should give you a scratch on the head.
The Biblical foundation for free will is nonexistent (God hardens the Pharaoh's heart to then punish him for it)
Same with the sun being. created after the earth, after plants and after humans, among other proposterous biblical claims, which are NOT the product of translation errors.
The infallible ridiculous book is veeeery veeery fallible.
God's word?
nope, just a mirror image of the primitive, sadistic, narcissistic, mysoginistic, homophobic warlords of the time period.
The abrahamic God is the product of their minds, written down.
The Abrahamic God actually descends from Semitic polytheist pantheon, but it morphed eventually into monotheism.
In logical debate, you should care about what is true.
You should be finding ways to attack your belief to check and its validity and justify the authority you are giving it over your life, not finding desperate ways to preserve belief, thats massive personal bias.
But hey, most of us have been at this stage before
Such judgement should be done without a personal motif, the second you are desperate enough to try to preserve belief in any manner possible, all objectivity is lost.

@arogyasilwal7
Agnostic doesn't exactly mean just "don't know. period".
Agnostic/Gnostic describes one's position pertaining to knowledge (do I know? no/yes), but leaves the position to belief (do I believe? yes/no) open.
People often call themselves just "Agnostic", either because they misunderstand the meaning of agnostic/gnostic and put it in the same cathegory as atheist and theist (which it is not), or because they are too undecisive to take the label atheist...or both.
Agnostics can be;
-atheists
-theists
-undecisive
Similarly, Atheists can be;
-Agnostic (explicit negative Atheism+Implicit negative Atheism)
-Gnostic (explicit positive atheism)
Theists also split into Gnostic and Agnostic.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative_and_positive_atheism
I am an Agnostic Atheist (explicit negative atheist).
I don't positively claim that I know 100% there is no God (explicit positive atheism, also known as Gnostic Atheism), but I reject the assertion that there is.
Unless undecisive on the question of belief, one cannot technically be only an agnostic.
Atheist and Agnostic are not in the same cathegory of descriptors, hence it is entirely nonsensical to say "Im not an Atheist, Im an Agnostic".
It is like saying "I'm not a dog, I'm
brown".

@___.51 I assure you, the other stressors in my childhood, even without financial ones were enough to cause me severe c-PTSD and completely destroy me as a person. I was also bullied for having been raised in a been middle class household, even though i didnt have more freedom than the lower class kids.
I was denied medical care despite my parents having had the money to afford it, i now have brain damage from
untreated epilepsy.
So certainly, i associate the middle class still with a combination of a lack of freedom and lack of community and social acceptance because i was seen as "the rich". AND indeed, i was socially rejected exactly because the other lids were envious of an imagined middle class ideal that i didnt actually fulfill (i was in worse circumstances than any of them).
Because of what happened im likely going to be lower class in the future.
Ofc, my experience is very specific, the imprinting and associations to trauma and social rejection are very strong, and its dnvy that motivated other kids to hate me, but i think there is too much generalisation in this video, and reduction of a complex set of motivators by only mentioning and covering one of them, which once a viewer has soe biases can work to boost them.

When I was 2 my mother was sick so my grandma had to take care of me and I pooped and peed the couch, sofa and the rug and then laughed like a moron :I .
At 3, I fell and bit my lip off (o.o), I remember the blood, the crying, and the sewing up later, and they told me they were gonna glue it together :'(o
Again at 3 I had a bad case of bacterial pneumonia and almost died, it just brings back dozens and dozens of memories; the butt shot, the disgusting cheese soup, pricking twice a day, the itchy socks...aaah
One from below age 1 that could be a false memory but dunno: just a TV screen with a football game on while someone is holding me, it's literally just that...

IMHO it looks at traits separately, e.g. tidy and meek, and yes then farmers are a more likely fit, but if we are looking at all the traits TOGETHER at the same time being found in a person, then the likelihood may flip in favor of a librarian.
Certain traits come from multiple different genetic bases, and some of these trait variants' genetic basis doesnt only influence that trait, but other traits as well.
So let's say low emotional intelligence, and now give a choice of "autistic" and "not autistic".
Sure "not autistic" is much more likely, but add 20 other traits, and it flips in favour of "autistic".
Kind of simplistic. Maybe this was just not mentioned, or I missed it.
dunno hhaha

@Shuizid
first off, the definition of intelligence is controversial in the scientific community, exactly because we are starting to realise how anthropocentric and limited our current understanding of it is/was.
intelligence could be taken as;
1. anthropocentric understandings exclusively focusing on human osychology;
(colloquially used, first one much more than the second one)
-only mathematical, logical and spatial (measured on IQ tests)-> antiquated conception
-the 16 types of intelligence we think are constituents of human intelligence now (kinesthetic, social, emotional, musical....)
Even the general definition of intelligence expands it to a general
"the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills."
the general scientifically usable one already becomes;
"the ability to perceive or infer information, and to retain it as knowledge to be applied towards adaptive behaviors within an environment or context."
and this doesn't refer to only traits visible in a single isolated, but may be single organism, or colonies (bees) in highly social species.

You seem to be referring to propertarianism, or as its today known, right libertarianism (called just libertarianism in the anglosphere).
Originally, and for centuries, Libertarianism referred to Libertarian socialism. Libertarian socialism has included anarchist socialism since around the french revolution, and later came to include various libertarian marxist currents, as well as some particular strains of the new left and particular strains of democratic socialism.
This is now called left libertarianism (social libertarianism), to distinguish it from right libertarianism (propertarianism).
Very recently,propertarians headed by Rothbard stole the name
In my opinion, any ideology that largely denies positive liberty society wide (except for a few oligarchs), and is autocratic, cannot call itself libertarian.

@tysonsperling9912 precisely. As anyone can call themselves a specialised scientist, and can show any sort of graph, including the ones you alone made.
Which btw even if you are a scientist, doesnt make you qualified as such climate change denier "scientists" regularly end up being self professed climate experts who are actually geographers, different kinds of engineers or the like lol.
Scientist? yes they are, but very unqualified for this topic.
But all of that aside, your Willie Soon wasnt particularly high on graphs lmao.
PS and of course upon researching him, the Willie Soon guy studied another field entirely; astrophysics and aerospace engineering. He is nor a meteorologist, nor an earth scientist, nor even a geologist. He is completely unqualified. Astrophysicists study exospace.
He is also one of the only few "scientists" that dwell in denying climate change. As I see, he represents 99% of all climate change denier politician (and regular yt maniac) references LMAO.

@AmongUs-qt3uo Well lol,do whatever you want but you are ignoring the elephant in the room.
You know it. and you can sense the cognitive dissonance, thats why you all hide in majority opinion.
You feel sorry for a koala getting burned but not billions of animals being systematically tortured, cows repeatedly raped till they collapse and are then slaughtered, and billions of babies being slaughtered after living in a pen alone all their short life, babies being ground up alive,pigs being gassed till they suffocate in agony?
Even worse, that you pay for that to happen every day, and several times beyond what you need even on an omnivore diet?
Give me a break.
The person defo has an underlying point, just presented in an odd manner.
Do what you will but thats just the reality you cant hide from.
Im not even a vegan,Im just a reducetarian, yet the acknowledgement of reality and personal responsibility is part of being a grown up.
Collective juvenile denial wont help anyone, including the environment.
Cheers
