  2. I can not imagine keeping a vehicle roadworthy on my limited fixed income with speedily shrinking buying power. I am land rich and car in disrepair now, and I feel VERY lucky to have purchased off grid property while it was available to poor people.

  10.  @ppumpkin3282 INFLATION decimated the budget that USED to be enough to live on. We can’t throw trillions to nations destroying their neighbors, and have seniors survive in USA. I’m 77 I have created infrastructure to insure that rain happens to bring me my water. I have protected my health by avoiding medical doctors the past 12 years!

Or: lacking the miracles needed to stretch impossible budgets, a temporary time out from Superhero mode can make people parked near unfriendly fire starters vulnerable to sudden collapse.
