  1. Thank you, Bridget Sclama! You have written what many, many of us would like to be able to write. I first learned of Bernie in '63, when he was an undergrad, member of SNCC and CORE, at the U. of Chicago, protesting school segregation, etc., and organizing the first sit-in in Chicago, in the Chancellor's Office. Two newspaper photos--when he broke a police line, went to his knees ankle-locked to a young Black, female protestor and was arrested--are still circulating. Bailed out the next day by the NAACP. Organized a busload to DC for MLK's historic March for Jobs and Freedom and "I Have a Dream" speech. Found his life's work young, as a warrior for civil, economic, environmental, gender, racial and social justice...and for peace. The You Tube "Bernie & Civil Rights in Chicago" still moves me. #NotMe.Us #MedicareForAll

As does Bernie's call, begun so long ago, for #MedicareForAll" -- as our desperate need for it is brought home tragically to more of us every single day because of the dreadful coronavirus pandemic. The fraud in The People's House called it a "HOAX" at its beginning, and his government's continuing response to it could hardly be worse. Thanks Be for Dr .Fauci, and all our scientists! It was so long ago now that Sen. Sanders called Trump, "The worst, most dangerous president in our nation's modern history," and how each passing day proves him so right.
