Liked your comment to "keep talking," etc. Actually, he's been an activist for such goals since he was an undergrad in poli sci at the U of Chicago, active in CORE (Congress on Racial Equality), worked for desegregation in campus-owned housing and public schools. There's still circulating a great picture of a group in a sit-in (-thought by many to be a first in the north) at the chancellor's office, another of a couple of policemen hauling him off arrested. Went east to the March on Washington, ,maybe 1963. He really has talked the talk and walked the walk for decades, including when mayor of Burlington. I admire him, too.
