  4. wow... I am w-a-y beyond being just "moved" by your post. Truly. I wish everyone, everywhere in America could have it to read...and ponder. I think there'd be a ground swell like never seen in modern times for Sen. Sanders to be our next president. I really am beginning to believe that a third run would be over-the-top successful, for America as well as for Bernie...if everyone who says they'll vote for him really does get out and do it this time!   7. I know now that Sanders/Stewart means Jon Stewart, thanks to a wonderful person who explained that to me recently. Stewart is GREAT, and they do seem to work well together. But.... They are two white men, altho' Stewart is younger. of near a given age, and it doesn't really seem that would cut it in '24...altho' I'd sure like to be wrong. I've also heard/read about Katie Porter as a potentially strong running mate. East coast/West coast, male/female, an age difference, both well researched, both great speakers. Etc. Of course, she's running for the Senate at the moment. So, who knows.....

  8. YES! You are so right, L G. We as a nation need to make more well-known the educational opportunities beyond high school that are available thru a very wide range of "different strokes for different folks." And, by that I mean in part by promoting much better than is done now the k'zillion (truly!) careers that are learned thru apprenticeships. I did that as a part of my job as communications director for eight+ years with the N.C. Department of Labor. Apprenticeships offer so many diverse choices for talented young people (who aren't interested in a four-year degree) to learn high income life skills. The unions that support Bernie all know about (and have experience with, I bet) the many, many great career possibilities with apprenticeships. Better ways of marketing/establishing those opportunities nationally would be a real service as an option for our young people. I just know Sen. Sanders would be (and perhaps even already is) greatly interested in promoting apprenticeships as one more way to assure good incomes for our so diverse young people. They truly are--and could be even moreso--a great option for additional education and a higher earning potential for a significant part of our younger population. #NotMeUs.

  9.  @grmpEqweer  I 100% agree w/ everything you wrote. Through the years Bernie was always listed as one of our poorest senators. Then he published "Our Revolution," in November 2016, a week after Trump's election. It was #3 on The New York Times Best-Seller list and also published in China, England, France, Germany, Serbia and South Korea. He also wrote another successful book, "Where We Go from Here: Two Years in the Resistance." And now he has a new book out that seems to have "launched" pretty well, too, including in England. He earned his later-in-life wealth...and helped educate a lot of us as he did so, too. #NotMeUs..

  10. I really do like Sheldon Whitehouse, too. As I posted earlier up above tho, it seems to me that two men, both white and in sort of the same age range probably just wouldn't be a wide enough spread re potential voters. Wouldn't mind at all being wrong, of course! Have also heard Katie Porter mentioned positively in recent weeks...altho' she's now running for the Senate, so who knows. #NotMeUs.

  12. Me, too. And I'm 84 years old. An Illinois native, I will n-e-v-e-r forget the Chicago newspaper photo in the summer of '63 that showed a policeman "helping" him to the ground for marching against segregation. The NAACP got him out of jail the next day. He promptly helped get a busload together to go to DC for the historic March on Washington (and MLK's historic "I have a Dream" speech). I'm very glad the wonderful You Tube, "Bernie and Civil Rights in Chicago," is still available. #NotMeUs.
