  2. Egad. Interesting. Kinda glad I never saw that! Illinois native, 83 now. First learned of Bernie from a1963 Chicago newspaper photo. It showed a policeman "helping" him to the ground for marching against segregation. He was 21. The You Tube video, "Bernie Sanders and Civil Rights in Chicago," impressed. Have admired him as a public servant ever since: Re-elected mayor of Vermont's largest city, re-elected state's lone US representative, now in his 3rd term as a US Senator. Working consistently for civil, economic, environmental, gender, racial and social justice...and for peace. Etc. From a military family back to the American Revolution, I especially value his service to veterans, including earning the highest national honors from both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, in different years. NotMeUs.

  5. They would be good together, that's for sure. But, both are older, white men. Diversity seems a stronger ticket. I like Sanders/Porter. Male/female. East coast/west coast. Older/younger. White board/mittens. Etc./Etc. NotMeUs.
