Illinois native, 83 now, I first learned of Bernie in 1963 from a Chicago newspaper photo that showed a policeman "helping" him to the ground for marching against segregation. He has been an activist leader ever since he was the thrice re-elected mayor of Burlington, Vermont's largest city. A leader re the issues that are most important to me, including civil, economic, environmental, gender, racial and social justice, etc., and for peace. I think a pairing w/ Katie Porter would be VERY strong. East coast/west coast, male/female, both established progressives, both fine, fact-based debaters, older/younger. Etc. Many etc. NotMeUs.

  4.  @IndigiAutisi  The way I remember it is that Sen. Sanders said he would not run against Biden in a primary. Biden would do so much good for our hurting nation if he would realize/accept he should not seek a 2nd term. That would release Sen. Sanders from his preference to not defeat his friend from Senate days...because defeat him he would...and should...and must. NotMeUs.

  6.  @jeannet.9125  I agree that Sen. Sanders has said he would not primary Biden--who, unfortunately, continues to show ever more reasons, in my opinion, why he should not run for a 2nd term. As far as I know, Sen. Sanders has not ever to date given Biden his endorsement for 2024, something that usually comes much later, into an actual campaign.

An Illinois native, 83 now, I first learned of Bernie in 1963 when he was a poli sci undergrad at the U. of Chicago. Saw the famous (still circulating) Chicago newspaper photo of a policeman "helping" him to the ground for marching against segregation. He has been on the correct side of the issues I most care about ever since...starting when he was the thrice re-elected mayor of Vermont's largest city (for 8 years), then defeating a wealthy incumbent Republican to be his state's lone representative in the US House (also re-elected), and now in his third term as its US Senator and chairman of the powerful budget committee due to his seniority. Over all the decades he was and is consist in his pursuit of civil, economic, environmental, gender, racial and social justice for All...and for peace. NotMeUs.
