@tann_man Oh yeah. I forgot the U.S still does racial segregation in schooling.

Economic freedom is a fun way to describe a place owners run roughshod over wage workers. Lower tax burdens only sound nice until the power goes out.

@DisposableSupervillainHenchman Lol yes there is. Your entire funding for schools is based on highly localized districts. Districts that are created by very deliberately segregating housing along racial lines. Your country is more racially segregated today than it was 50 years ago. Your view of reality was informed by TV commercials.

@DisposableSupervillainHenchman Your ignorance to your own history is not the same as "no evidence". Redlining never ended in your nation. Which you definitely don't know about.

Texas is a state with lots of space and very little, state. Which is great to a certain kind of alienated American. Until the power goes out anyway.

@antonioiniguez1615 Texas has 2 out of three. No state with 1/4 child living in huger can claim prosperity

@usernameryan5982 that's a lotta cope considering you've obviously not seen immigration distribution in America.

@usernameryan5982 Economic system that lifts the most people out of poverty? Why are you mentioning China?
1
@usernameryan5982 your cope is absolutely wild. Your own state statistics don't support your nonsense.

@usernameryan5982 You are wrong on every point. Texas IS a high tax area. Property tax specifically. Which really undercuts your Zillow research. Your lack of education about your own state would be embarrassing if it wasn't so telling. You are no doubt a product of Texan public schooling.

@usernameryan5982 The public interest requires rules that may inhibit unfettered markets. Rules that require money to be enforced. Money that in more civilized parts of the world, comes from Taxes. I get that as a Texan, you are totally blind to the reality of institutions existing and how they function. I'm telling you reality. Which you buck against with nothing but your own individualist assumptions about people you clearly know nothing about. You pay high taxes and get nothing notable as a citizen to show for it.

@usernameryan5982 Port Arthur will take as a many serfs as possible willing to wear the cancer belt. Poor regulation isn't the same as efficiency. Florida has ranked number 1 in "inward migration" since COVID. Texas is a state made of many kinds of fiefdoms. Which to the already rich is freedom.
1
@usernameryan5982 You've never argued. You are a serf cheering for your lords. While you stay blind to their impacts on people just like you. The keystone XL pipeline ends at Port Arthur. You think that pipe has gotten less busy? Cause spoiler. It hasn't. Fewer people are living close to the town and commute in for work. I'd ask you why you think that is but you have too much Texas pride to notice. They commute in because the ground, air, and water close to work are all exposed to literal poison. But at least it's more new jobs!

It's sinking under the tides. Their streets flood every month since the pumps can't keep up with the encroaching ocean.

@JoshuaFagan Texas had better mass public transit in 1890 than it does today.
