Comments by "Praise The Sun" (@Praisethesunson) on "The Uncertain Future of Nuclear Power" video.
The only difference between nuclear power and nuclear weapons is how long the fuel is refined. The global empires will never allow nations they want to exploit to have the kind of nuclear automy required to scale up nuclear power.

Naw man we can totally trust capitalist cost cutting and profits for the already wealthy when it comes to properly handling one of the most dangerous systems humanity has ever developed
7
Why is it cheaper for my to buy fresh flower when cooking instead of just taking the flour out of some old wedding cake? That's how you sound.
4
It's hilarious how many pro nuclear kids actively ignore that obvious truth
3
Nuclear power is an overpriced offshoot for the nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are the only reason there is any investment in nuclear electricity.
3
Gen Z doesn't know anything about nuclear weapons production or policy. Nuclear is the only man made way(besides climate change) for humanity to intentionally end all organized human existence
3
Nuclear weapons just don't exist in your world view do they?
3
@chapter4travels I'd ask if we can bury the stuff in your yard, but we both know you don't actually own any land.
2
@chapter4travels Good point. there are some guys in central America who would pay top dollar for fissionable radioactive materials.
2
It's incredibly dangerous but you are a filthy prole so you have no adequate way to guage danger.
1
@nonridiculousadjective6597 You desperately try to separate nuclear power and nuclear weapons. Which is pure delusional copium. The D.R.C will never be allowed to have nuclear power. Even though their uranium is good enough to be used to make the U.S atomic bombs dropped on Japan. You are using science™ to blind yourself to reality.
1
Those don't actually exist anywhere right? Those are just theoretical.
1
Lol no it isn't. Even if it was agreed this was the best super nuclear plant with no chance of failure, massive cost overrun, or the whole nuclear waste thing. It takes 10 years minimum to get a single plant up and running. We don't have that time. Wind and solar go up now. Go up fast. And are green, cheap, and safe. Nuclear power is a toy byproduct that is only kept afloat thanks to our imperial powers suicidal love of nuclear weapons.
1
That'll just increase the chance of nuclear ICBMS taking off.
1
Capitalism will kill us all if it means line go up
1
Nuclear energy exists as a byproduct of nuclear weapons production. Nuclear weapons are the only reason nuclear power gets any attention from nation states.
1
@matteobordini5227 Tell that to the U.S and Iran.
1
How is the U.S Iran nuclear deal going?
1
@OGWhinnyBaby29 Hilariously braindead take there champ. Once the rocket go up. Who cares where they go down? That's a different department says Wernher Von Braun
1
@williamredding8953 Nonsense. You are grossly underappreciating the scale of cost for industrial processing. And the why/how they money would be spent. It's possible in the same way the negligible amount of flour from cake can be extracted and repurposed. There is zero incentive to spend that kind of money for what amounts to glorified recycling. No capitalist enterprise would waste that kind of money(when that cash can go to the owners pocket instead). No state would spend the money when they can "temporarily" store it, bury it, or convert it into weapons instead.
1
@williamredding8953 This is a YouTube comment section, not a public forum or library. If I posted any links to explain that they get removed by the algorithm (can't let us filthy rabble drive traffic away from the site). Refining ore is an established industry older than uranium mining itself. Any average MBA holder can get tables on cost runs for it down to the penny, years in advance. There is no mass industry for making spent radioactive fuel useable again. You are using whatever guess work the physicists say is possible and hoping your engineers can make it work. All in ways that hopefully won't cost the yearly GDP of most nations. Good luck getting access to capital markets to fund that.
1
Then go move to Hanford Washington. They'd love to have you.
1
Closer in this case meaning we are still nowhere close and there is zero serious investment in it by your corporate and state overlords.
1
What Industrial facilities? You mean the stuff your corporate masters own? They don't care about nuclear because it has never ever been profitable.
1
Lol if the DRC tried to build a nuclear power plant they would be invaded.
1
Bad bot. Go be useless somewhere else
1
That's hilarious considering your obvious blindness to empire and nuclear weapons. Your ideological love of science™ doesn't let you see that nuclear weapons are the reason nuclear cannot proliferate.
1
You are so close. Nuclear investments "myths" all revolve around getting funding that is used for nuclear weapons research. Nuclear power has never been about providing electricity for the filthy commoners. It's about nuclear weapons production.
1
Lol spoken like a boi that has literally no idea about modern nuclear weapons policy.
1
@shapesnatch1341 That's because you don't know anything about the point of nuclear "power" production. You are an ignorant consumer ignorantly wanting another thing for you to consume.
1
Nuclear power is just slightly less refined nuclear weapons. That's the issue. And it's one stem cells like you don't get to ignore.
1
You don't know a thing about nuclear weapons production and it shows.
1
@tonystanley5337 As long as imperial states and the great game exist. Nuclear power and nuclear weapons will never be separate from each other. No matter how much the pro nuclear S.T.E.M-cells want to pretend they are.
1
@VictorLarsen-fy9ls Lol the U.S had better mass public transit in 1880 than it does today.
1
Don't worry. Nuclear weapons are being upgraded across the globe as we speak. We are no more than 11 minutes away from their usage going way up.
1
@salameez Go take your ridiculously wrong ideas to the U.S state department. You have an insight to solve the U.S-Iran nuclear tensions that entire governments full of smart people just haven't figured out yet. Go claim your Nobel prize random YouTube commenter.
1
@kennethferland5579 The African continent and the middle have tried to implement nuclear weapons free zones. Why do you think that hasn't happened?
1
The DRC will never be allowed to get nuclear. That could make it harder for western corporate to exploit the other valuable resources in that state.
1
@gorb2518 Come to the nuclear plant in South Carolina. They will be happy to use it on you.
1
That used fuel can also be used for nuclear weapons.
1
@anydaynow01 Lol do you have a nation state in mind you are referring to when you declare all of that?
1
@anydaynow01 Commerical fuel? Bro stop huffing your capitalist cool-aid. The fumes have rotted your brain. The stupid private sector isn't required to enrich nuclear fuel. States can do it without adding a cut for the already wealthy to further enrich themselves. Also stop saying reactors. Nuclear fuel is enriched with centrifuges. Please go tell the democratic Republic of Congo they can start enriching fuel. America needs a formal excuse to start a war on the African continent.
1
Yes. They are the better and obvious choice for electricity generation. But your corporate overlords can't think of a way to artificially restrict your access to the sun and wind. So they don't like it.
