  2. Unions lobby government by organizing workers enough that those workers can collectively shut down production. Unions do that and the government comes to the union instead of the other way around.

  4. Because Scandinavian social democracy only exists because of fear the Scandinavian rabble might follow the model of their neighbor soviet union. With the USSR gone. Scandinavian social programs have only been eroded this century.
