  3.  @silopush1386  Terrible? It's the situation. I didn't put any moral label on it. That you'd call it terrible says more about your own view of the situation than anything else. Regulations apply to big and small(that's why major industries hate regulations so much). Prices are the "same" in that the large corporations can do it for less but still charge more because you don't have any other options. That's called profitability.

That industry got monopolized decades ago. 4 corporations control 90+% of the undertaker market in the U.S. When they buy out your local funeral homes they keep the name the same so you don't know it happened. The industry knows you prefer to think locals handle your dead people's corpse instead of a subsidiary of DeadMart doing the work.n
