Pretty sure this wouldn't be an issue if they had shelter
2
Cities are more sustainable than rural towns have ever been or ever will be.
2
@TreeLBollingTreeMan cause rural towns hardly have anything. Literally anything. Except bigots and idiots of course. Rural towns have a ridiculous surplus of those.
2
But never the rich
2
If by cartels you mean the CIA. Then yes. They have.
2
TSA is security theatre.
2
@AR-sz5lm Boeing can afford to double to yearly of every single worker they have for the next 5 years. They won't because that's money that the executives want to spend on themselves in buybacks.
2
We will do anything to solve homelessness. Except threaten the profit interests of real estate corporations and landlords of course.
2
Easily. Come try
2
It does my heart good to see the system threaten and marginalize the people it is actively failing to serve. -Police
2
@anti-rioter-15 Stop describing your own pleb existence to me.
2
I hope these workers get the pay and benefits they need to live.
2
@PiersAnthony-hq7tj Ah yes. Seattle's famous border.
2
@ilikepanama mental health funding was too close to universal health funding. So it was purged under corporate mouthpiece Ronald "Treason for profit" Reagan
2
Gotta close the public schools to push kids to private and charter schools. That's the game plan.
2
Lol trump got grazed by TMC
2
5% is a low bar but it's still not going to easily pass.
2
Be sure to crank up that AC so we can get a 15 month streak before 2030.
2
If the minimum just kept up with the rate of inflation since 1970. The minimum wage would be $32 per hour. They aren't overpaid. YOU are underpaid. All so a few billionaires can exist.
2
Because in the 60's and 70's you just weren't told so you had no way to know it even happened
2
Amazon has intentionally killed more businesses than forcing their wage labor back into corporate offices will ever support.
2
Housing is a commodity for corporations to speculate with. The fact that filthy poors happen to use that commodity to avoid the elements is irrelevant.
2
Landlords set the rent price not minimum wage workers. It's hilarious you don't think about that.
2
You know the old saying. Into an Acura, in for a pound.
2
@chrismagnussen4304 Yeah. Everyone should get real jobs that pay good money. Like speculating on currencies or plane production until the doors fall off. That's a recipe for a stable social order.
2
@chrismagnussen4304 What makes the cities across the U.S so expensive? Could be that building and owning basic shelter is entirely under the control of private actors whose only goal is personal profit maximizing?
2
@chrismagnussen4304 Wrong across the board. It doesn't matter how much money there is when 90% of it always goes to the already rich. Buying Bitcoin is like buying a lottery ticket with even worse odds of a payout. U.S inflation is from the world finally breaking free from the U.S Petro dollar. Which means conditions in America will only worsen for the majority while 1 person will hit trillionaire status.
2
@gregrichey840 any place with homeless people and empty homes isn't being handled correctly.
2
USA! USA! USA!
2
@TheMax550 The study from this news story says I'm right but we both know you didn't read it.

Lol why does this comment section get filled with hogs that don't live in Seattle.
1
Good memories from that place. I used to love getting drunk from the mouthwash they sold.
1
As a lib, the worst part of controlling the hurricane is you still have to send 95% of them at random Caribbean islands or the Yucatan or whatever to keep up the ruse that they're natural. Now the tornado machine, you can really go wild on conservatives with that thing.
1
It's not insurance exists. Gotta defend the banks property apparently
1
@chucksneed5405 The one good reason is the world's largest military says that would be illegal. And has a history of very violently enforcing that reason if anyone gets uppity about it.
1
@bonedaddy7297 Since when do we care if houses are taken care of? Have you seen all the abandoned property owned by disinterested speculators rotting across this state?
1
Yes you do. It just isn't optional.
1
@mikeadams8708 You'd call them Junk fees if you knew about them.
1
Yeah he should just go back to his house already
1
That hog getting put in a pen
1
Sounds about white
1
They are security theatre. Which is as close as America gets to funding the creative arts.
1
Seattle is dying so much they are still one of the richest cities in the U.S.
1
Thanks to systemic poverty engulfing more and more of the American public. This sad phenomenon is only going to increase. Unionize together to improve everyone's lives. or wait for your turn to be individually crushed under the wheel of infinite profit accumulation
1
He just knows taxes= bad. Millionaires are paid by billionaires to tell him @GoogleDeletesYourComments

This week in "We will fund anything except mass public housing"
1
It's the same equity you experience in the private sector. From access to healthcare to access to housing. Your ability to have/use it is dependent on how rich you are. Don't blame politicians for giving you more of the same BS you already put up everywhere else in your life.
1
I'm so glad American corporations were able to effectively wage an opium war on the American domestic population. Without facing any real consequences of course. Can't let the rich face punishment for something as trivial as massive death of the American population.
1
Local news doesn't care about economic inequality. They just care when people of privilege see spooky homelesses not immediately being thrown into the largest prison population on Earth.
