@TomasPetkevicius94 I keep seeing Pinker in my mentions because the algorithm pushes this BS. I did better. I published a few of the studies Pinker is using to lie to western consumers. The man is a charlatan preaching status quo protecting dogma, to people so full of artificial stimuli and televised experiences they don't question it.

@aaronclarke7732 That view is only true for a minority of already well of people in the parts of the world colonizers rule. The 3+ billion poorest people on Earth haven't benefited much if at all from all the nonsense Pinker praises. The industrial revolution and the unnecessary, unsustainable, and deliberately wasteful consumption patterns that trade (corporate consolidation and control of global exchange). Pinker sells cruel optimism. While literally trying to gaslight the people who rightfully point the many MANY flaws the lifestyles for people like Pinker this system creates. We all live under two swords of Damocles (Climate change and nuclear weapons) which Pinker actively dismisses because they don't let him push his BS narrative.

@aaronclarke7732 China is the only reason poverty has decreased in the last 40 years, and they did it in ways that don't at all follow the dogmatic neoliberal BS people like Pinker promote. Pinker loved taking private flight with his dear friend Jeffery to make his hollow shots at his fellow elites anything but window dressing. To say nothing of the fact the world bank(an institution that spent decades deliberately pushing entire nations into debt traps) literally had to fudge their numbers about extreme poverty to make a claim at success. $5 a day is the extreme poverty line. A line that has seen +1 billion people fall into extreme poverty since the 80's. Again, if it weren't China's authoritarian Capitalism global poverty only would have increased over the last 40 years. Pinker's job is to propagandize the middle classes in western nations to maintain the status quo that is destroying the world. His book from the perspective of over half the global population is serial killer levels of psychotic. They aren't Pinker's market so their views are soundly ignored.

That's his entire career. To get poor's like you to defend your owners while they continue to exploit people even poorer than you. The only thing you are supposed feel with Pinker's propaganda is that the world is getting better so you don't have to be a rabble-rouser over much if anything. A lie to keep you from bothering the people that pay for Pinker's lifestyle of hanging out with sex traffickers.
