  1. Watching this I would never guess fossil fuel conglomerates are still the most concentrated investment of global capital. Fossil fuel production has only increased year over year regarless of how dire the consequences science folks say that will be. Capital investment will take us to over 5°C of warming as long as profit decides how/when the economy finally ditches fossil fuels. So yeah, us costal folk best move to higher ground.

  4.  @Waitwhat469  You absolutely would have all that stuff without multinationals shopping for nations whose worker protection plan is suicide nets. But the endless lust for ever greater short term profits is always more important. "Free market" advocates are just fools thinking they will never be one of "artisanal" minor miners slaving so apple can make a phone that intentionally breaks after a few years.
