  1. The U.S doesn't care about Islamic Fundamentalist extremists in the Middle east. If we did we would support and be allied with the most Islamic Fundamentalist country in the region(Saudi Arabia). The U.S has considered middle East oil a tremendous source of strategic power and the most valuable material prize in world history since 1950. Because controlling that oil give the U.S influence over the development of rival nations (South Korea, Japan, Europe, India, and China) in a way direct military force could never match.

  8. OMG a koch brothers funded piece. They (not surprisingly) left out that the vast majority of other nations want nuclear weapons free zones. Which the U.S(and it's client state Israel) roundly disagrees with that otherwise global consensus. Meanwhile the only handful nations of who haven't signed the non proliferation treaty are India, Israel, Pakistan, and the U.S ignores it. Also the U.S has had at least 13 "broken arrows" (military term for oops we lost or mishandled a nuclear weapon) since they've had them. Yet they want to lecture the world on best practices. sure buddy. All to totally avoid the obvious issue that the reason the U.S doesn't want Iran to have a nuclear weapon because then the U.S can't threaten violent intervention.

  13. Only workers organized together can emancipate each other from the shackles of wage slavery. Even the saddest small business would work their single worker to death if it meant a few extra pennies this fiscal quarter. Every single right and benefit workers have was fought for by workers. Nothing has ever been given on high from the ghouls that directly benefit from exploiting workers as much as possible.

  14.  @MiloTheFirst1  You can't "secretly" refine uranium or test weapons(it requires tons of massive supercomputers not literally setting bombs off which would be instantly and internationally detected). The Operating costs are still well beyond even the richest people to attempt. Nuclear weapons require states. Businesses cannot and never have been able to build nuclear weapons. As close as they have ever gotten is managing some weapons for a state but that isn't even in the same galaxy as actually controlling nuclear weapons.

Empires needs to maintain control over their domestic population(so massive domestic digital spy program if every American, constitution be dammed), and observe potential threats from foreign powers(gotta make sure none if that oil in the middle east ever gets pipelines to India and China. Doesn't matter if that would mean cheap easy access to the most valuable resource in world history to 40% of the global population). This speaker is dumb. He has no ides that defense spending is a massive unaccountable subsidy to develop the high tech economy of the future.

They have indentured their product into our actual culture. Yet in blind taste tests people choose Pepsi far more often then coke. They are the most successful brand in human history.
