Natural gas(which is what Texas actually depends on) extraction has fallen by half because none of the infrastructure for natural gas is weatherized for cold weather. That's the problem. A problem Texas has been aware of and ignored since 2011. See FERC/NERC Staff Report on the 2011 Southwest Cold Weather Event if you want to stop being such an embarrassment of a human being.
