There's actually two different words for Russians I can't remember them but one applies to the Slavic Russians Yes both use versions of Cyrillic but they are different. No Ukrainian is not like Polish. I remember prior to 2014 products you bought in Russia had both Russian and Ukrainian languages on them, same with DVD's you had a choice to listen in Russian or Ukrainian.
