You're conflating two issues immigration and crime, without immigration we'd still have crime and last time I checked we voted to end the mass migration you speak of however I wouldn't be surprised if it came back. The benefits of mass migration depends on your perspective, seemed very popular with employers in particular farmers. Did things improve very difficult to say how life would would have turned out otherwise.

You do understand that the the police's job is to enforce the laws passed by the state, also there must be accountability of the police so some element of state control is necessary. The EU for farmers was a double edged sword they could employ cheap labour specifically in agriculture but were faced with cheap imports from heavily subsidized French and German imports. But I would have thought farmers were one of those who benefited most from EU membership. The EU hasn't given up dragging the UK back in, I'm sure that you heard Ursula von der Leyen statement in that regard. The hope that the youth coming through will overturn the referendum.
