massc Gee about 60% of the people in Crimea were ethnic Russian before Putin's land grab and they lived peacefully with their Ukrainian neighbours. All polls prior to Russian intervention showed that the people of Crimea were happy being part of Ukraine. Crimea only prospers at the expense of ordinary Russians and of course the Tatars.

selenium There's only really been two Russian presidents, Yeltsin and Putin I don't think anyone seriously believed Medvedev was really was in control of Russia during his presidency. Yeltsin took over Russia when it was pretty much bankrupt so he was always going to struggle and I doubt things would have been any better had Putin been in charge during those turbulent years. In my opinion Putin takes care of himself and his close circle of friends, the rest of Russia he cares little for.

revivalero shbz The man who discovered them documents relating to Putin's activities in Dresden is a renowned author not some gutter journalist. Your comments are simply facts you've made up yourself, for instance Putin is no longer married. His government has actually decriminalised wife beating this year as for him being ruler of the world that's just a fantasy of yours. Putin is nothing more than a regional power unable to truly change our way of life. You understand the Russian language? That's hilarious чо
2
revivalero shbz typical response from a supporter of Putin, racist to the core and without a clue about what's really going on in Russia.
2
revivalero shbz You really should seek medical help, your paranoid delusional posts are complete nonsense.

@kishanchali8752 Why should we be concered about Russia? They currently have a leader who is a dictator who would happily see a return of Russian domination of Easten Europe. The west actually tried to ecourage Russia to join the international business community unfortunately Putin did not want the west to see exactly how corrupt his government is. The problems the west may face are insignificant compared to those facing Russia. Ah the US bases argument...by far the vast majority are nothing more than research stations not bases with combat forces. So why does Russia have so few? Two reasons really, they simply don't have the finacial resources and niether very allies willing to host them. Gunboat diplomacy, such as?

Robsta Mcfadyen do even know the meaning of the word?

TheGaming Survivalist A wife beating serial adulter is your idea of the best man in the world?
1
revivalero shbz Unfortunately for you it isn't. While he was in Dresden his then wife Ludmila confided with a friend detailing her KGB husbands abuse, this friend however turned out to be a West German intelligence officer, it's all public record now
1
revivalero shbz The files from the Bundesnachrichtendien have been published, no amount of trolling on your behalf will alter what they say about Putin
1
revivalero shbz not really these files became public knowledge before things soured between Russia and the West. This kind of thing is all to common in Russian society, Russian interior ministry statistics show that 9,800 women died as a result of a serious assault in 2015 by their partners. Adultery is almost seen as socially acceptable in Russia. Face it you're the proverbial troll who hasn't a clue about Russia
1
revivalero shbz now what nonsense have you invented in your mind, now you think there are no perverts in Russia?
1
Henrik Svendsen This myth that the US financed a coup in Ukraine has been debunked so many times now I can't believe some of you keep mentioning it, show me the evidence. The democratic elected leader of the Crimean parliament was forcibly removed by Russian soldiers and you can't see a problem with that? The referendum was a farce, organised by Russia to justify their taking the peninsula, the figures announced the the Russian government are evidence in themselves that it was a fake. In any case such referendums are illegal under Russian law.
1
knifepony it's been debunked because the claim that Nuland admitted this has been proven false
1
revivalero shbz You do realise that the Russian governments budget relies heavily on us using fossil fuels and I can't say I've seen any form of renewable energy in Russia
1
knifepony I've asked for the evidence that the US financed a coup, given that no such evidence exists what exactly do you require a citation for? The non existence of fairies?

Vladimir Prokov "many Russians"? Is vague to be polite, according to the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) most Russians don't trust Putin and two thirds think he hasn't fulfilled the promises he gave during the election
1
Alex b I agree with most of what you say most of the problems facing Russia today are due to Putin. It's the federal budget that relies heavily on gas and oil exports without them it leaves a big hole in Russia's finances, pensioners suffer along all public employees, doctors, nurses and teachers for example. Corruption is still a big problem in Russia, the narcissistic Putin talks a lot but in reality does very little about this.
1
No I'm not one the delusional people you'll find on the Internet claiming that. The point of your question?
1
selenium As I said many make that claim, most turn out to be false. So just because I'm not Russian I can't point out all the flaws in the myth that Putin is good leader?
1
selenium life before Putin? If we're talking about the Soviet Union where people had money but nothing to spend it on compared with the current situation were people have no money but the shops are now full of products they can't afford. Of course after the collapse of the Soviet Union there was chaos, which of many remember and it's probably only the fear of that, that helps keeps Putin and of course the manipulation of the media. High oil prices and a good relationship with the West is what brought stability to Russia, but now Russia has neither and cracks in Putin's poor leadership are showing.
1
selenium although unemployment did become a reality in the 1980's it's a alarmist to say everyone lost their jobs, the Soviet Union needed to be reformed that's a fact. Your vague responses are a little suspicious, corruption is systemic throughout Russia, is Navalny corrupt? Possibly, but we know for sure Putin is.
1
jeroen van den bulk Russian troops in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. Russia financing the far right in France and you say Putin isn't meddling? Interesting how you only want casualties in the middle east to be considered.
